Christina Applegate's devastating health update

<p>Christina Applegate has shared a heart-wrenching health update, sharing that she is currently unable to walk or use her shower. </p> <p>The actress, who has been battling multiple sclerosis (MS) since 2021, spoke candidly on her <em>MeSsy</em> podcast that she is going through a difficult relapse of her chronic illness, which is getting in the way of being able to complete basic tasks. </p> <p>“I’m gonna be honest with you, I need to buy stock in Cottonelle because I haven’t taken a shower in three weeks,” Applegate told podcast co-host Jamie Lynn-Sigler, who also suffers from MS.</p> <p>She continued, “Because I can’t stand in my shower. There’s no f****** way I can use my shower.”</p> <p>“I have such a small bench and my a** is so huge these days that I can’t sit on it, it’s like I slip right off of it,” she added. “So, I’ve been Cottonelle-ing my body.”</p> <p>At the beginning of the episode, Applegate detailed the severity of her symptoms and how they were impacting different areas of her body.</p> <p>"Intense pain in my legs, not being able to walk to the bathroom without feeling like I'm going to fall, insane tingling, spurts of tingles," she said of the pain she's currently experiencing.</p> <p>"I haven't slept for 24 hours because my eye is doing something weird, where every time I close my eye to go to sleep, my right eye starts to shift like this."</p> <p>Applegate noted how unusual the symptoms in her legs were, saying, "My legs have never been this bad... so I don't know what's going on, like, no energy."</p> <p>"[My] Legs are just done. I can't get circulation, I can't get them to stop hurting."</p> <p dir="ltr">Christina first revealed her diagnosis in August 2021, sharing the news on Twitter and thanking everyone for their support. </p> <p dir="ltr">“Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going. <p>Queen Camilla has shared an update on Kate Middleton's wellbeing while chatting to the public during a royal engagement. </p> <p>While attending the Farmers’ Market in Shrewsbury on Wednesday, hundreds of royal fans gathered to catch a glimpse of Camilla, and to pass on their well wishes for the Princess of Wales in the wake of her cancer diagnosis. </p> <p>Two young girls greeted Queen Camilla with handmade posters that read "Send our love to Kate".</p> <p>Camilla promised she would pass the message on before telling the crowd, “I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support.”</p> <p>The update comes in the days after Kate's shocking announcement that cancer had been detected during a planned surgery in January. </p> <p>In an emotional video message to royal fans, the Princess of Wales shared that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy and thanked members of the public who had been concerned about her health. </p> <p>In the moving clip, the 42-year-old royal she said her diagnosis was a “huge shock” but vowed she was “going to be OK”.</p> <p>Camilla was said to be a pillar of support and in regular contact with Kate following her diagnosis.</p> <p>The 76-year-old has also been Charles’ “rock” following his own cancer shock and wants to be as supportive for Kate.</p> <p>The Queen has continued to carry out all of her royal duties and attended many events by herself after urging Charles to slow down.</p> <p><em>Image credits: Getty Images</em></p>

<p>Celine Dion has shared a rare health update, and revealed that she is determined to get back onstage despite her battle with stiff person syndrome. </p> <p>The singer took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with son René-Charles Angélil, 23, and 13-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson. </p> <p>“Trying to overcome this auto-immune disorder has been one of the hardest experiences of my life, but I remain determined to one day get back onto the stage and to live as normal of a life as possible,” she shared on Friday. </p> <p>“I am deeply grateful for the love and support from my kids, family, team and all of you!”</p> <p>She shared the post in honour of stiff person syndrome awareness day, which falls on the 15th of March. </p> <p>“I want to send my encouragement and support to all those around the world that have been affected by SPS,” she continued in her post. </p> <p>“I want you to know you can do it! <p><em>Home Alone</em> star Ken Hudson Campbell's daughter has shared a health update for fans after the actor underwent surgery to remove a tumour in his mouth. </p> <p>Speaking to <em>People Magazine</em>, Michaela revealed that her father is "doing well" after his 10-hour surgery last week, but there are still a few challenges their family will have to face, as Campbell will need to have radiation treatment five times a week. </p> <p>"I think the hardest part of this is going to be him losing his speech and his ability to talk. <p>Bindi Irwin has shared a candid health update, while sharing details of her gruelling road to receiving a diagnosis for endometriosis. </p> <p>The wildlife warrior first shared that she was suffering with the condition, which effects one in nine women, in March 2023, as she revealed she was living in constant pain. </p> <p>Now, the 25-year-old told <a href="https://people.com/bindi-irwin-doctors-dismissed-pain-before-endometriosis-diagnosis-exclusive-7749973" target="_blank" rel="noopener">People</a> magazine that it took 10 years to be diagnosed, after being “tested for everything” after experiencing extreme fatigue, pain and nausea over the span of a decade.</p> <p>“It’s so hard because you feel like it’s inescapable,” she told the publication.</p> <p>“You don’t know what’s wrong with you, and then when people tell you ‘It’s all in your head’ or ‘you’re hormonal’ or ‘just have a cup of tea, lay down,’ you end up feeling so desperately alone because there’s no answers.”</p> <p>In August 2022, Bindi pushed to undergo an explorative laparoscopy to explore her organs in the abdomen and pelvis. </p> <p>“I was so scared that they wouldn’t find anything because we had run out of everything else to test for,” Irwin said.</p> <p>The surgery revealed she had 37 lesions and cysts on her ovaries, and was formally diagnosed with endometriosis. </p> <p>Following specialised treatment and surgery, the conservationist said she feels “like I have a second chance at life ... Judi Dench's tough health update

<p>Judi Dench has admitted that due to her degenerative eye disease she can barely see on a film set and can no longer read her scripts. </p> <p>The Oscar-winning actress known for her role as M16 head M in seven different <em>James Bond</em> films, told UK publication <em>The Mirror</em> that her age-related macular degeneration (AMD) has gotten so bad that she can now barely see. </p> <p>“I can’t see on a film set any more,” she told the publication. </p> <p>“And I can’t see to read. So I can’t see much. It’s difficult for me if I have any length of a part. I haven’t yet found a way.</p> <p>“But you just deal with it. I have so many friends who will teach me the script,” she added. </p> <p>The eight-time Academy Award nominee had previously said that she is unable to drive due to her AMD. </p> <p>“It’s the most terrible shock to the system. Ghastly. It’s terrible to be so dependent on people,” she had previously said. </p> <p>However, the actress is determined to maintain her independence and has no plans to stop working.</p> <p>“I have an irrational fear of boredom. That’s why I now have this tattoo that says carpe diem (“seize the day”). That’s what we should live by," she said. </p> <p>The actress has won various awards throughout extensive career including six BAFTAs, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in <em>Shakespeare in Love</em>.</p> <p>Dench currently lives with her partner David Mills, and has shared how grateful she is to have someone so caring by her side. </p> <p>“I’ve had many, many good friends, but it’s been very unexpected to have somebody new who is as caring as my partner, David.</p> <p>“I feel very lucky indeed. <p dir="ltr">Sarah Ferguson has shared a post-surgery update on the latest episode of her podcast, following her shock <a href="https://www.oversixty.co.nz/health/caring/sarah-ferguson-s-devastating-cancer-diagnosis" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cancer diagnosis</a> last month.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Duchess of York had a mastectomy at the King Edward VII's Hospital in late June after doctors discovered that she had breast cancer.</p> <p dir="ltr">"I am so lucky, so lucky and I feel really supported," the Duchess said on <em>Tea Talks with the Duchess & Sarah</em>, which she hosts with her close friend and entrepreneur Sarah Thomson.</p> <p dir="ltr">She also shared how grateful she was and the life-changing impact the surgery has made.</p> <p dir="ltr">"There is so much kindness out there. I feel so grateful to this extraordinary operation.</p> <p dir="ltr">"It's with me every day and I am really grateful because it keeps reminding me to do what I wish to do which is to bring more joy, more kindness, more positivity to the world, through this podcast."</p> <p dir="ltr">Her positive thinking did not fade as she opened about recovering at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, where she lives with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew.</p> <p dir="ltr">"Every time I think to myself, 'Oh my goodness, this is kind of wonderful, soon I might be able to wear a dress without a bra – that would be a first, I'd love that',” she said.</p> <p dir="ltr">"I think to myself, 'Make the most of today, Sarah. "Get my voice back": Kathy Griffin's intense pre-op drama

<p>Kathy Griffin has shared footage of her pre-operation appointment before she undergoes vocal cord surgery in an effort to save her voice.</p> <p>The American comedian took to TikTok to show fans the process of her surgeon sticking a camera scope up her nose and through to her vocal cord to get a clearer view of the damage.</p> <p>"First step is the numbing spray. "I'm cancer-free, so anyway a little scratchy today, but I'll be in good shape.”</p> <p>"I so appreciate you guys following along on my journey to get my voice back after lung cancer,” Griffin captioned the video, also sharing it to her Instagram.</p> <p>Griffin had part of her lung removed in 2021 after being diagnosed with lung cancer and was in remission four months later.</p> <p>Her latest hospital visit comes after she revealed her diagnosis of “complex PTSD” in early 2023.</p> <p>Griffin shared her diagnosis in a TikTok in April, asking her followers for recommendations on how to cope with anxiety and depression.</p> <p>"Let's talk about PTSD. “My fear is obvious”: Shannen Doherty’s tearful health update

<p dir="ltr">Actress Shannen Doherty, best known for her roles in the hit TV series <em>Charmed</em> and <em>Beverly Hills, 90210</em>, has shared an update on her cancer battle with her concerned followers. </p> <p dir="ltr">The star was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, and has been open about her ongoing fight, from her 2017 remission to her 2020 stage 4 diagnosis, and has now made the heartbreaking announcement that the cancer has spread to her brain. </p> <p dir="ltr">In two videos posted to her social media account, Shannen has detailed this latest chapter in her journey, and confessed the fear that comes along with the whole ordeal. </p> <p dir="ltr">In the first post, Shannen detailed the experience of having her radiation mask fitted, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CtHpmIdpNRg/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">after CT scans revealed mets on her brain on January 5</a>. </p> <p dir="ltr">Her followers wasted no time in offering their support, with many revealing their own - or their loved ones’ - experiences fighting cancer, and wishing her all of the positive thoughts they had to offer. </p> <p dir="ltr">“I just had my bilateral mastectomy on May 31st along with a lymph node dissection,” one wrote, “and I just want to let you know that you are my hero right now and I am totally here for you as well”.</p> <p dir="ltr">“My brother was given 6-8 months in ‘94 - he went through radiotherapy, chemo, and is still with us today,” another shared. “The power of positive thinking, of ‘I CAN beat this’, was his mantra. He is living proof it can be beaten!!! Thinking of you and sending strength”.</p> <p dir="ltr">A day later, Shannen returned with another update, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CtKfA9QLdDm/?hl=en" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this time with a video taken on January 12</a>, when the radiation process began. </p> <p dir="ltr">“January 12, the first round of radiation took place,” she revealed. “My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and there was a lot going on in my life.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Shannen took a moment then to thank her “amazing doctors”, before making the heartbreaking confession that “that fear…. The turmoil….. the timing of it all…. This is what cancer can look like.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Friends and fans could once again be found in force in her comments, with another round of love and support being sent her way, and words of encouragement shared throughout. </p> <p dir="ltr">“This is a lot. This is a lot to take on, still again. And I am wishing for all the wise peace you have learned to find you in the terror moments. To know we are holding you. Love. All love,” fellow actress Selma Blair wrote. </p> <p dir="ltr">As actress Sarah Michelle Gellar put it, “you are a warrior”.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I send you love, strength and lighting thoughts.
