Rod Stewart's bizarre Ed Sheeran call out

Rod Stewart has called out Ed Sheeran in a bizarre rant, saying he doesn't think the pop singer's music will stand the test of time.

In a recent interview, the 79-year-old rocker was discussing what musicians would continue to be popular with the younger generations, although the interview quickly went awry when he couldn't remember the name of who he was thinking about.

“You mean like ‘Maggie May’? Songs that will be played in 50 years?” Stewart said in response to the question. “I like whatshisname. Oh f**king great, Rod. Well done,” said the rocker, unable to remember the name of the star he was thinking of.

“He’s British, really talented and his songs will be around,” he continued.

When the interviewer suggested that Sheeran was the person whose name he forgot, Stewart was quick to hit back by proclaiming himself to not being a fan of the singer-songwriter.

“No, not Ed, I don’t know any of his songs, old ginger bollocks. Jesus,” moaned Stewart.

Ultimately, Stewart was thinking of another British singer: George Ezra.

“Yes! I think he writes really tremendous songs,” he said of Ezra. “He’ll be around for quite a while.”

Stewart's comments come after he admitted he wanted to move in a different direction with his music from now on.

During an interview on BBC Breakfast, Stewart responded to a statement that host Charlie Stayt made, saying that “rock stars are performing into incredible ages now.”

Stewart reacted and said, “I am actually stopping.”

“I’m not retiring but I want to move on,” Stewart noted. “I had great success with The Great American Songbook … and I’ve just done a swing album with Jools Holland, which is going to come out next year, so I want to go in that direction.”

“I just want to leave all the rock ‘n’ roll stuff behind, for a while, maybe.”

“Everything has to come to an end sooner or later,” Stewart declared.

"His worst moment as a person": Sean Penn unleashes on Will Smith's Oscar's slap

Sean Penn has become visibly angry as he recalled the infamous moment at the 2022 Oscars ceremony when Will Smith stormed the stage to slap Chris Rock.

Penn recalled the award ceremony moment as he reflected on the Academy's decision to not let Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speak at the ceremony.

The actor has been a strong advocate for the people of Ukraine in their ongoing war against Russia, and even traveling to the war-torn region to help in their fight.

Speaking to Variety, Penn shared how frustrated he was that Zelenskyy was silenced, while Smith's actions were the real problem.

“The Oscars producer thought, ‘Oh, he’s [Zelenskyy] not lighthearted enough.’ Well, guess what you got instead? Will Smith.”

Variety noted that the actor was visibly infuriated speaking on the subject, even turning red during the interview.

“I don’t know Will Smith. I met him once,” Penn said. “He seemed very nice when I met him. He was so f***ing good in King Richard.”

“So why the f**k did you just spit on yourself and everybody else with this stupid f***ing thing? Why did I go to f***ing jail for what you just did? And you’re still sitting there? Why are you guys standing and applauding his worst moment as a person?” the 63-year-old said, referencing his 1987 arrest and jail stint for punching a film extra in the face.

“This f***ing bulls**t wouldn’t have happened with Zelenskyy,” Penn added. “Will Smith would never have left that chair to be part of stupid violence. It never would have happened.”

Penn was so shocked and infuriated by the moment that he chose to destroy his two Oscars.

"I thought, ‘Well, f**k, you know? I’ll give them to Ukraine. They can be melted down to bullets they can shoot at the Russians,’” he said.

When visiting Zelenskyy in Ukraine last fall, Penn showed his support by giving the leader one of his Oscars.

At the 2022 Oscar's ceremony, Will Smith stormed the stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock after he made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith.

After returning to his seat, Smith shouted out, “Keep my wife’s name out your f***ing mouth!”

US banker fired and charged after a racist tirade over a smoothie

A wealthy US banker has been fired from his job and charged with a hate crime after a video of him berating young staff in a smoothie shop has gone viral.

James Iannazzo, 48, threw a smoothie at a teenage employee before calling her a "f**king immigrant", all while other staff filmed his racist rant.

The bizarre encounter erupted after a visibly irate Mr Iannazzo returned to the store in Connecticut after an hour earlier ordering a smoothie that contained peanuts, which caused his highly allergic son to have a reaction and require hospitalisation, according to authorities.

According to a police report, Mr Iannazzo ordered the drink without peanut butter, but did not mention his son's allergy to the workers.

The video captured by an employee shows Mr Iannazzo demanding to know who made the original drink, before lashing out and calling the staffers “f**king stupid, f**king ignorant high school kids”.

He then allegedly called one of the workers a "f**king b***h" before hurling the drink at her, striking her shoulder.

Mr Iannazzo continued his expletive-ridden tirade before calling the employee he hit with the drink a "f**king immigrant".

The video was originally posted to TikTok and Twitter where it has amassed over 16 million views, and thousands of comments blasting the man's behaviour.

A spokesman for the man's employer Merrill Lynch told the New York Post that Mr Iannazzo was fired from the wealth management firm as a direct result of the incident.

“Our company does not tolerate behaviour of this kind. We immediately investigated and have taken action. This individual is no longer employed at our firm,” a statement said.

After initially fleeing the store before police arrived at the call of an employee, Mr Iannazzo later turned himself in.

He told a local news station that he freaked out after his son's reaction to the drink, causing him to return to the store.

“My son lost the capacity to breathe properly; his lips and face swelled up, and he required an EpiPen shot, but it did not offer him relief,” Mr Iannazzo told WTNH. “I called 911. My son then went to the bathroom, threw up and fell unconscious to the floor. He threw up again. My wife gave him another EpiPen while I called 911 again. Thank God, he is doing okay.”

“I was out of my mind with fear for him when I returned to Robeks, and I wish I had not done so,” Mr Iannazzo said. “I also wish they had been more careful preparing my son’s beverage. I will be extending my apologies personally to the Robeks organization, particularly the staff that was working there that night.”

“My actions at Robeks were wrong, and I deeply regret them. They do not reflect my values or my character. I feel terrible that I lost my composure so completely,” he said.

Mr Iannazzo has since been charged with intimidation based on bigotry or bias, breach of peace and criminal trespass.

Image credits: TikTok / Fairfield Police Department

Piers Morgan quits after Oprah rant

British TV presenter Piers Morgan has quickly left his job on the ITV show Good Morning Britain after an on-air rant about the Meghan and Harry interview with Oprah.

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain,” the network said in a curt statement today.

“ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”

He received immediate backlash for his claims about Meghan Markle, after saying that he didn't believe her struggle with suicidal thoughts.

ITV's chief executive later revealed that she did believe Markle and said that Kevin Lygo, ITV's top programmer for media and entertainment had spoken with Morgan in recent days.

She said Mr Lygo was “speaking to him on a regular basis and has done so the last couple of days”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Asked whether Morgan would lose his ITV job over the issue, Ms McCall said: “We are dealing with that as we speak.”

She said that “the most important thing with mental health that ITV does and is totally committed to, is that we support, we get people to speak up, we listen, we say everyone has to listen and everyone has to believe because that’s how you get people to speak up. So we are very committed to that.”

Morgan stormed off live on air after a co-star condemned his treatment of Meghan and Harry.

Alex Beresford accused Morgan of "trashing" Meghan because she "cut him off".

Beresford then challenged Morgan's claim about the glowing press coverage of the royal couple until after their wedding.

Piers Morgan just walked off the Good Morning Britain set (!!!) after co-presenter Alex Beresford defended Harry and Meghan and condemned Piers' treatment of them in yesterday's programming pic.twitter.com/mH75J8ND4O
— Chris Rickett (@chrisrickett) March 9, 2021

“I watched the program yesterday and yes they had some great press around the wedding, but what press is going to trash someone’s special day?” Beresford said.

“There was bad press around the engagement, before the engagement and everything that has followed since has been incredibly damaging — quite clearly, to Meghan’s mental health and also to Harry — and I hear Piers say that William has gone through the same thing, but do you know what, siblings experience tragedy in their life and one will be absolutely fine and brush it off and the other will not be able to deal with it so strongly.

“And that’s clearly what has happened with Harry in this situation. He walked behind his mother’s coffin at a tender, tender age in front of the globe. That is going to shape a young boy for the rest of his life. So I think that we need to all take a step back.”

Speaking directly to Morgan, Beresford said he “understands” that Morgan doesn’t like Meghan, telling him “you’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program, a number of times”.

“And I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle, or had one and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to,” he added.

“Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has, yet you continue to trash her.”

Morgan got up and left his chair, saying he was “done with this” before storming out of the studio. Beresford said that was “pathetic” as Morgan strode out, adding: “Sorry, can’t do this.”

“This is absolutely diabolical behaviour, I’m sorry but Piers spouts off on a regular basis and we all have to sit there and listen. 6.30 to 7 yesterday was incredibly hard to watch,” Beresford said.

"Respect your partner": Man criticised for rant about wife

A husband who has been working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic has been slammed online for complaining about his stay-at-home wife.

He took to Reddit to say that his spouse isn't keeping their toddler twins quiet while he's working.

“So as many of you have been doing in these times, I’m currently doing work from home,” the husband said.

“I have a wife and two toddlers (twins). I need silence to work and I don’t have a home office.

“It has been slowly ****ing me off because I am working hours and I hear noises such as my wife talking, watching TV, kids playing from the other room.

“I have been VERY patient with them telling more than once that I need 100% silence to focus but even if they are trying to be ‘quiet’ I still hear some noises (kids, walking around, making food, cleaning etc).”

The rant went up to another level, as he said that the "least they (his family) can give me is peace and quiet while I do my job".

“I got fed up with it and told my wife off, I’m the one working in this family and paying for everything,” he said.

“The least they can give me is peace and quiet while I do my job.

“My wife is a stay-at-home mum and it’s her job to be silent and shut the kids up.

“If I don’t have complete silence, I cannot work and therefore could lose my job.

“My wife on the other hand doesn’t appreciate any of it. When I wasn’t working from home, she would ask me to do chores after work and take care of the kids when I am obviously very tired and needing to wind down and relax for the night.

“Then when I’m off on the weekend, I’m still expected to help out.

“I would remind her that that’s her job as a stay-at-home mum, but she refuses to listen to me because ‘it’s my kids and my home too’.”

People were already irritated with the anonymous man's claims, saying that they wanted to help out the mother.

"How do I divorce her husband for her?" one user joked.

However, things got worse as the husband claimed he was being disrespected in their marriage.

“It hurts that she doesn’t appreciate how hard I work or my feelings. I do my part by supporting this family financially, if it wasn’t for me we wouldn’t have a roof over our heads or food to eat,” he said.

“But despite me voicing my feelings she not only has the nerve to disturb my work but also expects me to work more afterwards.

“My wife is angry at me and refuses to back down. The worst part? She claimed that I don’t appreciate her.

“I work very hard and I feel like I deserve to have my feelings considered.”

The man was met with a wall of criticism from disbelieving Reddit and Facebook users.

"You sound like you don't appreciate your wife at all," one user said bluntly.

"Remember that you get breaks from your paid work; your wife gets none from her unpaid work. What kind of AH expects complete silence from toddlers?"

"You have two jobs - one of them is being a parent," another pointed out. "So yep, when you're not doing your other job, that's when parenting comes into play. It doesn't sound like you appreciate her at all."

"Get some sound proof headphones and respect your PARTNER. Notice, I say partner, not slave or maid."

“I’ve never met a toddler who could be silent EVER! Let alone two. Let alone for months on end. Dude must be crazy,” said another.

“You’re f***ing gone”: Furious Tom Cruise lashes out on set of Mission Impossible

Furious Tom Cruise has ripped into workers who broke COVID rules on the set of Mission: Impossible, screaming: “If I see you doing it again, you’re f***ing gone.”

The Hollywood superstar has gone the extra mile to make sure tight social-distancing rules were being implemented during the filming, which is taking place in Britain.

And after coming across two of the crew members standing within two metres of each other, he quickly flew into a rage.

The Sun published the audio recording, which heard Cruise shouting: “If I see you do it again, you’re f***ing gone. And if anyone in this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f***ing do it again.”

50 staff members at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Herts, were left shocked by the angry outburst.

The 58-year-old was furious that his efforts to keep filming going during a pandemic could be at risk.

He went on: “They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. “We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherf***ers.

“That’s it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down. “

“We are not shutting this f***ing movie down. Is it understood? If I see it again, you’re f***ing gone.”

A source said: “Tom has taken it upon himself, along with the health and safety department, to try to force the safety precautions, with a view to keeping the film running.

“He does daily rounds to make sure that everything is set up appropriately, that people are behaving and working as safely as they can. He is very proactive when it comes to safety.”

They added: “Everyone was wearing masks. It was purely that these people were standing under a metre away from each other.

“It isn’t known whether he saw those guys breaking the rules before or whether this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

“People make mistakes and they slip up, but Tom is just on it.”

Tom’s rant, in full:

“We want the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us! Because they believe in us and what we’re doing!

I’m on the phone with every f***ing studio at night, insurance companies, producers, and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs you motherf***ers.

I don’t ever want to see it again, ever! And if you don’t do it you’re fired, if I see you do it again you’re f***ing gone. And if anyone in this crew does it – that’s it, and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever f***ing do it again.

That’s it! No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down. It’s not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education.

That’s what I sleep with every night. The future of this f***ing industry! So I’m sorry I am beyond your apologies. I have told you and now I want it and if you don’t do it you’re out. We are not shutting this f***ing movie down! Is it understood?

If I see it again you’re f***ing gone — and you are — so you’re going to cost him his job, if I see it on the set you’re gone and you’re gone.

That’s it. Am I clear?

Do you understand what I want? Do you understand the responsibility that you have? Because I will deal with your reason. And if you can’t be reasonable and I can’t deal with your logic, you’re fired. That’s it. That is it.

I trust you guys to be here. That’s it. That’s it guys. Have a little think about it …[inaudible].

That’s what I think of Universal and Paramount. Warner Brothers. Movies are going because of us. If we shut down it’s going to cost people f***ing jobs, their home, their family. That’s what’s happening.

All the way down the line. And I care about you guys, but if you’re not going to help me you’re gone. OK? Do you see that stick? How many metres is that?

When people are standing around a f***ing computer and hanging out around here, what are you doing? And if they don’t comply then send their names to Matt Spooner. That’s it.”

Angry neighbour rants over chalk drawings

A Melbourne resident tried to spread joy to her community by drawing on footpaths in chalk, but has since been labelled a "pretentious pr**k" by one of her neighbours.

Fiona Cracknell set up Cracknell Chalk Drawings to showcase her chalk designs on Facebook.

“I started drawing for my beautiful 3 year old daughter, had no idea it would impact my local neighbourhood while in lockdown this much,” Ms Cracknell wrote on the page.

However, another resident took issue with the drawings and has since complained to council.

“Someone has complained to the Council about my chalk drawing. “God is speaking to you”: Israel Folau preaches that bushfires and drought are God’s punishment for abortion and same-sex marriage

Israel Folau has caused further outrage by suggesting that the current bushfires and drought that is ravaging Australia is God’s punishment for legalising same-sex marriage and abortion.

Folau spoke at The Truth of Jesus Christ Church in Kenshurt, north west of Sydney.

“The message I mainly want to speak about today is mainly for the people who are outside within the world,” he began. “I’ve been looking around at the events that have been happening around Australia in the last couple of weeks with the bushfires and the droughts and all these things that are currently happening.”

"I'm doing this out of love for people to be able to hear this message and receive it with open hearts."

He said that Australians could solve the problems within the country by repealing these laws.

"I am speaking to Australia - they have changed this law and changed the ordinance," he said.

"They have changed that law and legalised same-sex marriage and now those things are okay in society, going against the laws of what God says.

“Abortion - it's okay now to murder and kill infants, unborn children, and they deem that to be okay,” he continued.

"This scripture is speaking to Australia. You have changed the law and changed the ordinance. Look how rapid these bushfires, these droughts, all these things that came in a short period time.

"You think it's a coincidence or not? God is speaking to you guys, Australia, you need to repent and you need to take these laws and turn it back to following what is right by God, what God says in his word."

Many people have been outraged by his comments, as four people have died in NSW alone and bushfires continue to threaten homes in NSW and QLD.

However, Folau warned that the worst is yet to come.

"What you see out there in the world, it's only a little taste of what God's judgment is like," he said.

"The news now are saying that these bushfires are the worst they've ever seen in Australia - they haven’t even seen anything."

Longtime supporter and 2GB radio host Alan Jones is usually a fan of Folau, but has quickly urged him to “button up”.

“Israel is a lovely human being, I know him well. Israel, button up. Button up.

“These comments don’t help.”

"I made him": Trump launches into rant in "unhinged" interview

US president Donald Trump had yet another meltdown as he launched into long tirades in a phone interview with Fox Business Network on Wednesday morning.

Speaking to host Maria Bartiromo, Trump started the interview by responding to the news that Robert Mueller is set to testify next month about his investigation into Russian election interference and possible obstruction by the 45th President.

Trump described Mueller as “obviously not a Trump fan” as he continued to deny any obstruction on his part.

“It never ends. We had no obstruction, we had no collusion,” Trump said. “It’s hard to have obstruction when you have no crime … You didn’t have crime. You had crime on the other side.”

In his report earlier this year, Mueller found 10 incidents in which Trump was found to be obstructing justice, including a case where Trump told a White House lawyer to lie on record.

When the interview shifted to the topic of trade negotiations with China, Trump insisted that “China’s paying for it” in a series of statements that mischaracterised how tariffs work.

“We had a deal with [China], and it was very close, we were just finishing it, and you know my whole life is deals. I know when we have them and when we don’t – like with Mexico, we made a deal with Mexico… they know what we have, and if we don’t have intellectual property, theft protections, the opening of China… if we don’t have the opening of China, if we don’t have the things we negotiated, maybe even more than that… and right now, look, we’re getting 25 per cent on $250 billion worth of goods, nobody ever heard of such a thing, it’s massive amount of money. Don’t play, don’t let anyone tell you that China’s not paying for it, China’s paying for it… and we’re not paying for any of it.”

Trump continued: “Since tariffs have been on, the market has been going through the roof if you know what I’m talking about… Now you have another $325 billion I haven’t taxed yet. It’s ripe for taxing. For putting tariffs on… It‘s been an incredible thing. Am I happy now? Absolutely…. When you say, ‘Are we going to make a deal?’ It’s possible we’re going to make a deal, but I’m also very happy where we are now, we’re taking in a fortune…. There’s no way you can beat the tariffs, there‘s no way you can make that money… [the tariffs] help us in ways that nobody even wants to talk about, that I don’t want to talk about them.”

This is not an interview -- this is a man ranting into a telephone. European nations were set up in order to take advantage of the United States.”

He criticised the trade policies of the European Union before emphasising Vietnam as “almost the single worst abuser of everybody”.

Trump also attacked his handpicked Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell after the latter stressed the central bank’s “independence” and warned about the dangers of changing policy for “short-term political interests” in a speech on Tuesday.

Trump absolutely trashes Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

"Here's a guy -- nobody ever heard of him before.
