99-year-old fitness instructor shares her secret

<p>Minni Solomons has been teaching fitness classes for seventy years, and at age 99, she sees no reason to stop, despite the fact that she has had a hip operation.</p> <p>The nonagenarian leads two seated aerobics classes a week for seniors, which includes a 45-minute routine she continues to develop.</p> <p>“‘I get great satisfaction from doing it and I thank God every day that I am able to do it. What really pleases me is when I read a magazine or something like that and I see someone doing a different exercise and I am able to introduce it to my class”.</p> <p>So what’s her secret?</p> <p>Her granddaughter Naomi, says “She has a child’s portion of salad and couple of pieces of fruit”. Minnie says she just tried to get her five a day, treats herself to a glass of brandy every night, and stays "healthy of mind".
