Horrifying moment plane crashes in gender reveal stunt

A gender reveal party in Mexico has ended in tragedy after the stunt plane crashed killing the pilot.

The video, filmed by a party guest, showed an expecting couple smiling as they waited for the plane to ascend and perform the reveal.

The pair stood in front of a sign that read: "Oh baby!" as the small plane approached them releasing pink smoke, signalling to the couple that they are having a girl.

Tragedy struck when the pilot pulled the Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee aircraft upwards and the left wing suddenly gave way, sending aircraft into a tailspin, ultimately leading to the fatal crash.

The Sun reported that the attendees seemed oblivious to the crash as they continued to celebrate the gender reveal.

Pilot killed after his Piper PA-25 left wing failed at a gender reveal party in the town of San Pedro, Mexico. pic.twitter.com/6JILK7fsGm

— Breaking Aviation News & Videos (@aviationbrk) September 3, 2023

Later on, graphic photos of the horrendous aftermath emerged showing the 32-year-old pilot, Luis Angel N., lying in the wreckage of the plane before he was rushed to hospital where he unfortunately passed away, according to local media reports.

A few other photos of the wreckage has also been posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a few people rushing to get the pilot out.

Footage of the gender reveal party has since gone viral, with viewers sharing their condolences to the pilot, while others slammed the "extreme gender reveals".

"The way the camera panned back to the couple with not the slightest care in the world for the pilot is sad," one commented.

“Why do they have to do such extreme gender reveals lately? Why can’t they just settle for something simple?” added another.

“It looks like he over stressed the aircraft. I wonder if he was above safe manoeuvring speed? I hate to see it," wrote a third.

A fourth person commented: “Whats the point of this at the first place? I see so many accidents and incidents doing gender reveals.”

Images: Twitter

Bridesmaid "horrifies" viewers with "cringe" wedding speech

A "horrifying" wedding speech has gone viral online, as a bridesmaid delivered an "awkward" toast to her friend and her new husband.

The video, which was originally posted on TikTok, has racked up hundreds of thousands of views, shows a bridesmaid named Shannon standing in front of the congregation to toast the newlyweds.

In what should have been an emotional, wholesome speech, it instead got off to a bad start when she appeared to forget how long she's known the bride for.

“Hi, I’m Shannon, I’ve known Tracy for...oh god...” she started, before a voice off-camera suggests it’s been nine years.

“I don’t quite know Anthony that well,” the woman continued, alluding to the groom.

“But Tracy talks about you non-stop. She’d be like ‘Oh, Anthony this, Anthony that’, and I’m like, ‘I don’t care’.”

Shannon's fake eye-roll didn't get a laugh from the crowd, as she insisted, "Just kidding!"

What…the hell…did I just watch? pic.twitter.com/smfqexmcsz

— chris evans (@notcapnamerica) October 26, 2022

She continued, “You guys are so cute together.”

After telling the groom he’d “better take care of my girl”, Shannon turned to the crowd and said, “I’m not gonna be racist, guys, I’m just saying.”

“You guys are outstepping the stereotype and I love it."

“You guys, I swear, I love Black people. You guys. Are. The. Best.”

Shannon went on to say, “My own daughter’s great-aunt is like, the best woman” before concluding, “You guys are amazing, I love you.”

As the video made the rounds online, viewers couldn't believe what they were watching.

“What…the hell…did I just watch?” one person asked.

“I actually gasped out loud! What in the actual hell??” another weighed in.

“Wtaf?! I thought you were just sharing a cringy public speaking clip and that was bad enough, but...then...it took a turn,” another wrote.

Parents horrified at Halloween decorations

Parents in a Sydney suburb have questioned a family’s Halloween decorations resembling The Handmaid’s Tale in quite a disturbing way.

Images shared to Facebook show a fake body in the show’s iconic red dress and white bonnet, while a male character is dressed in blue.

Both bodies were seen hanging by their necks on the porch, in reference to the show in which people were killed when they disobeyed the rules.

There was also fake blood smeared on the outside of the house reading, “Nolite te bastardes carborundorum” which translates to, “Don’t let the b******* grind you down”.

Social media users were divided at the decorations with many pointing out that it is inappropriate for children to see.

“Imagine children seeing this walking past,” one comment read.

“Not good; totally inappropriate,” another wrote.

“That’s horrible! Kids will be scared,” someone else commented.

Others however defended the decorations saying it is the spirit of Halloween and people are encouraged to go all out with costumes.

“OMG it’s Halloween, get over it, some of y’all need to lighten up,” someone wrote.

“While we’re on the topic – how freckin good is Handmaid’s this season,” another fan wrote.

The Handmaid’s Tale is an American dystopian television series based on the 1985 novel of the same name by Canadian author Margaret Atwood.

It tells the story of June, played by Elisabeth Moss, who is forced into sexual slavery struggles to survive in a totalitarian, fundamentalist society in what used to be the United States.

Image: Facebook

Baby suffers horrifying side effects from steroid cream

A mum has been left horrified after her baby doubled in size and grew hair on her face from a steroid cream she was given to treat dry skin.

The parents sought medical treatment for the five-month-old girl after she ballooned to 11 kilograms.

Doctors ran a number of tests after the young girl was rushed to the hospital in China to find out exactly what was causing the weight gain.

Medics said they were taken aback when the parents revealed the only food she was consuming was her mother's breast milk, which was tested and found to be normal.

The problem was becoming increasingly worse a month later, despite doctors asking the parents to reduce the child's food intake.

She had swelled to double her size and grown dark hair on her forehead and cheeks.

After another visit to the hospital, the baby was taken to a specialist unit where a nurse noted that four other babies had been suffering from the same symptoms.

When the mother was asked if she had applied any creams on her daughter, she responded with "Yifulin", the cream she had been using to treat her daughter's dry skin.

After examining the product, they realised it contained 30mg of clobetasol propionate, which doctors say should only be used for a short amount of time.

The five-month-old was using the product for a minimum of two months before the side effects began to take place.

The lotion has since been removed from shelves in China after other parents came forward to complain about its side effects.

According to the doctors treating the baby girl will be difficult and the hair growth may take several years to fall out.

An Australian mother has re-lived a horrifying moment where she saved her young son from a Land Rover just seconds before it plummeted into a sinkhole in Indonesia.

Margie Rule was enjoying an adventure-packed holiday with her husband Michael and their 20-month-old son Sebastian in their 4WD along a busy road in Yogyakarta when their vehicle began to tilt.

Kecelakaan kerja
— mbahmuhepapo (@agungepapo) July 23, 2019

“We really didn’t realise how serious it was at the time,” she told Yahoo News Australia.

Ms. Rule was unaware a giant 10-metre long sinkhole was making its way up to the street, stunning horrified onlookers.

“When it actually happened I had no idea. Michael turned to me and said ‘Get out of the car! Grab Sebastian and get out of the car!’” she recalled.

The mother said her husband was trying to “process” what to do after he glanced out the window and began to notice their Land Rover teetering over the edge.

Jeep landrover dari wisatawan asing Australia, sopir truk & yang didalam mobil Jeep semua selamat.
Hati-hati jika melintasi daerah pembangunan disana ya komandan semuanya. pic.twitter.com/78pQv03NoA
— mbahmuhepapo (@agungepapo) July 23, 2019

Responding quickly, Ms. Rule followed her husbands demands and jumped out the passenger side and flung open the rear door to pull baby Sebastian from his seat.

“In the footage you can see me take a couple of steps back and look at what it is and what’s happened and think: ‘no, no you need to get out!’”

Mr. Rule was able to get out of the vehicle by clambering over to the passenger’s side and escaping through the door.

Seconds later, the sinkhole swallowed the car.

CCTV footage recorded the family’s dramatic escape to safety.

After the family was shown the clip, they realised how severe the situation was - and how close danger was.

“We watched the footage and were like: ‘Oh my goodness, it was actually really bad and really close in time’.”

Mrs Rule said the response from local community members has been overwhelming as they brought them shoes and food - as their whole life lay before them in the ditch.

Horrifying images reveal how your smartphone has more bacteria than a toilet seat

Researches have shared horrifying images that show just how much bacteria, mould and yeast smartphones are covered in.

The new study found that some smartphones have up to ten times as much bacteria as a toilet seat, with screens being the most problematic area of the phone.

The other dirty areas include the back of the handset, the lock button and the home button, according to the study by Insurance2go.

The results come as more than a third of people in the UK admitted to never cleaning their phones, with just one in 20 cleaning their device once every six months.

The researchers took swabs from an iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy 8 and a Google Pixel to test for levels of bacteria, yeast and mould.

For all three brands, the screens reported the highest levels of bacteria, with 100 CFU (colony forming units) per cm2 for the Samsung Galaxy, 40 CFU for the iPhone and 12 CFU for the Google Pixel.

An office keyboard and mouse had 5 CFU per cm2 of yeast and bacteria, while a toilet seat and flush had 24 CFU.

The study also found that a beauty blender had 24 CFU per cm2 and a makeup brush had 0.4 CFU with high levels of mould.

Dr Shirin Lakhani from Elite Aesthetics warned that the high levels of germs on our phones can lead to skin problems.

“Our smartphones are a really big source of skin contamination and skin problems; namely acne,” she said.

“High concentrations of microscopic bacteria from your phone's screen mixed with oil and makeup from the skin, along with heat from the phone, breeds more bacteria. This can clog pores and often result in inflammation and acne.

“To combat these problems, use a headset when on the phone for a lengthy period of time and regularly wipe your smartphone with an alcohol wipe to remove as much bacteria as possible before using it.”

Commenting on the research, Gary Beeston from Insurance2Go added: “Our phones are never far from our sides; we take them everywhere with us. Therefore, it's inevitable that they'll pick up a few germs along the way.”

“In our experiment, we took the germs that are normally lurking on our phones invisibly and placed them in ideal growing conditions to help people see the potential hidden germs.

“Perhaps we don't realise quite how infectious our phones can be considering we're holding them against our faces.”

How regularly do you clean your mobile phone? Passengers' horrifying shock as door falls off plane

Passengers have received a horrifying shock after the door of a plane fell off shortly after landing.

The Dana Air flight had just arrived in Abuja from Lagos, Nigeria, when the emergency exit door fell off, causing a “poof-like explosion”.

“The flight was noisy with vibrations from the floor panel. I noticed the emergency door latch was loose and dangling,” passenger Dapo Sanwo said, according to the BBC.

“When we landed and the plane was taxiing back to the park point, we heard a poof-like explosion, followed by a surge of breeze and noise. It was terrible.”

Flew Dana. Exit door was unstable throughout the flight. As we touched down it fell off. When he shifted the door now fell on the floor of the plane,” he said.

He added, “I wonder what would have happened if the door fell off midair.”

Ola Orekunrin was also onboard the flight and told CNN that she noticed the door had been “unstable” through the whole flight.

However, Dana Air denied the door incident was due to mechanical issues and instead pinned the responsibility on a “passenger”.

“We wish to state categorically that this could never have happened without a conscious effort by a passenger to open it,” the airline said in a statement.

The airline also claimed that when the aircraft was airbone, the door could not be “shaking” because it was “fully-pressurised”.

“A thorough inspection was however carried out on the said aircraft upon landing in Abuja by our engineers and a team from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and no issue was reported. There was also no threat to safety at any point.

“A thorough investigation of the concerned passenger is ongoing.”

This is not the first time Dana Air has been under fire for safety issues with the airline crashing in 2012 and killing all 153 people on board.

9 things kids did in the ‘60s that would horrify parents today

The 1960s was a decade of culture, counterculture, revolution and great fashion. It was also a decade of horrifying social and safety faux pas when it came to children, and it’s honestly a miracle as many of us survived as we did. Here are nine reasons parents today would be horrified if the sixties came back.

1. Dangerous toys

Sharp, pointy objects, noxious fumes, relaxed age restrictions – toys in the sixties could be downright dangerous. You could be taking your life in your hands when you picked up the latest plaything.

2. Cigarettes everywhere

Not only did a significant portion of the adult population smoke – it was still actively encouraged by many parents. Look through family photo albums from the sixties and you’ll probably find a happy snap of a child with an unlit ciggie between their teeth as adults look on with mirth.

3. Stranger what-ger?

The sixties were so carefree that no one had suggested the classic “stranger danger” catchphrase yet. Kids were free to walk long distances to and from school from very young ages.

4. “No seat belt, thanks – I prefer suspenders”

“Click clack front and back”? More like, “mum’s arm held limply across a child’s chest in case of sudden stopping”.

5. Helmet-free bicycling

With no laws saying otherwise, children were free to ride their bikes and skateboards without protective helmets. Let’s not even talk about trivialities like kneepads.

6. Playground madness

Play equipment in decades gone by was designed for hair-raising fun and over-the-top aesthetics, but safety considerations weren’t necessarily at the forefront of people’s minds. Too-steep slides and finger-threatening closures were par-for-the-course at these veritable death traps. But gosh they were fun, weren’t they?

7. Sugar and spice and then more sugar

Breakfast cereals, ice creams, biscuits and more. Kids diets in the sixties were certainly less restrained than that of today’s youngsters – the term “sugar-free” wasn’t in regular circulation, and “diet” was something mothers did to get their wifely figures back.

8. Hitchhiking

This wasn’t one for the very young, but many teens were game to hitchhike to get where they were going. Many parents warned against it, but it still wasn’t a scary word like it is today, with most teens seeing it as a rebellious lark.

9. Smacking

Whether it came from a wooden spoon, leather belt, or just an outstretched hand, a good smack was all that many adults thought kids needed to keep them in line. And those adults over there – they thought the same thing about your kids and weren’t shy about taking matters into their own hands. Or spoons, as it were.

What habit from the sixties makes you shudder the most?

Horrifying new discovery about Josef Fritzl

Josef Fritzl, the notorious Austrian rapist who held his daughter captive in a dungeon, had a secret basement in a guesthouse he used to own.

Almost a decade after Fritzl was jailed, Builders made the horrific discovery while measuring the property during a routine inspection in the lakeside town of Unterach am Mondsee in Austria.

Fritzl ran the Seestern guesthouse before leaving in 1996 for Amstetten, where he would go on to imprison his daughter Elisabeth in a sound-proofed dungeon and rape her more than 3,000 times in a 24-year period. He fathered several children with her.

An anteroom with a staircase leading nowhere was discovered behind a wall during the inspection.

It's unclear whether police will investigate further or not, The Mirror reports.

According to local media, the house was not properly inspected by the police even after they learned about Fritzl's crimes.

Fritzl's house in Amstetten was bought by Herbert and Ingrid Houska for only €160,000.

Herbert Houska said renovating and refurbishing the house was like burying a coffin.

“The sarcophagus of Amstetten is gone,” he said. :I think really something beautiful has emerged and the past has been buried.”

“Many residents congratulate me and are happy,” he added, “It is time to finally look forward.”

However, the basement where Elisabeth was held is not in use as the Amstetten authorities filled it in to prevent it from becoming a shrine to other perverts.

Fritzi is currently being held in a special facility for “mentally abnormal criminals” at Austria's Stein prison.

Elisabeth, 51, and her remaining children all have new identities.

Reeva Steenkamp’s parents "horrified" over Oscar Pistorius movie

Reeva Steenkamp’s parents have been outraged over the suggestion they had any involvement in the upcoming film about their daughter’s death.

Reeva’s parents, Barry and June Steenkamp, were “horrified and upset” at reports the film Blade Runner Killer would be told from the perspective of the model and her mother.

The couple said they had no association with the project and they were unaware it was being made.

“Any impression that is created that this is June’s view, or that the movie is endorsed by the Steenkamp family, is untrue and incorrect,” they said in a statement.

On Monday, a trailer for the movie was released which shows Oscar Pistorius’ version of events, as well as Reeva’s friends and family’s perspective of him in court.

Earlier this year, a documentary about the case was released which alleged that the athlete was aware of what he was doing when he shot his girlfriend, despite his claims he was trying to protect her.

The double-amputee sprinter was first convicted for culpable homicide, a charge similar to manslaughter.

In the documentary, ballistic experts presented bullets as crucial evidence and the paralympian's charge was overturned and replaced with murder.

Four years after the 29-year-old’s death, Cpt Mangena said it was clear Oscar “knew what he was doing” and rejected his robber defence.

“She [Reeva] was standing behind the door, she was not in a seated position,” Mangena said.

“So, it could be that she ran into the toilet and she locked herself in the toilet, she was waiting, facing the door, inside the toilet.”

“The first shot was on the hip and after this shot, she fell down.
