Bride sparks feud for banning her niece from her big day

A bride-to-be has sparked a feud for deciding to ban her sister’s “loud and distracting” toddler from her wedding ceremony, with the bride asking social media users for advice.

The bride was only weeks away from her intimate destination wedding, which included a guest list of only a few friends and close family.

After being met with a difficult decision, the bride took to Reddit to share how a massive family feud had erupted in the weeks before the big day.

“My sister is bringing her one-year-old toddler. The child is more than welcome — she’s part of the family and we want her there as part of the day,” she began.

“However, as she’s still very young (and very loud at times), I’ve asked that somebody takes her out during the ceremony if she’s being distracting, shouting and babbling loudly.”

“I know that this will probably happen as she’s constantly chatting loudly and is never quiet.”

“But it’s only for half an hour and she can be as loud as she likes for the rest of the day.”

“I just want everybody to be able to focus on the ceremony and I don’t want the distraction.”

The bride said she was worried about sounding selfish, but then admitted that she was allowed to be selfish on her big day, and wanted all eyes on her and the groom.

“We want everyone to be able to enjoy them and, to be honest, we want the guests’ attention focused on us,” she said.

However, after the bride told her sister of the plans, things didn’t go down well.

“My sister has told me I’m being an a****** for ‘excluding’ my niece from the ceremony and therefore by default ‘excluding’ my brother-in-law who will be the one to take her out,” the bride said.

“She says that I’m asking him and the one-year-old to go all that way just for the evening meal as they will miss the ceremony and that the toddler will most likely miss that too as it will be after bedtime.”

“I’ve told her that there’s a whole afternoon of relaxing things going on — photos, cake, a little walk outside and late lunch that they will be part of but apparently she’s still really annoyed with me.”

The bride says her sister is now “threatening” to attend the wedding alone, leaving her partner and their daughter at home.

“We’ve called her bluff and said if that’s what she wants to do then we understand,” she said.

“To be honest, she’s p***ing us off so much that we’d be fine with all three of them not coming at this point.”

“I don’t think that I’m asking anything unreasonable.”

“All I want is a peaceful, relaxed ceremony where we can all focus on what’s going on without a toddler babbling away.

“Also, to be honest, even if this WAS an unreasonable ask, surely as it’s my wedding day then it’s up to me? Isn’t it the one day of my life when I can do literally anything I want?”

The post was quickly met with hundreds of comments, with most people flocking to the bride’s defence.

One person wrote, “This is basic event etiquette, but it seems like sis cannot be relied on to follow basic etiquette - or even asked to do so without herself acting like a toddler.”

Another suggested: “Removing a disruptive baby from a formal event would be normal etiquette, but if you specifically had to ask in advance, I’ll guess she’s got a history of not doing so.”

“Your wedding, your rules. You could have gone completely child-free, all you asked was for the common courtesy of taking her outside if she got noisy.”

Family Feud contestant charged with wife’s murder

A former contestant on Family Feud has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and home invasion over the death of his estranged wife.

Timothy W. Bliefnick, 39, was charged on March 13 in relation to the suspicious death of his former spouse, Rebecca Bliefnick, 41, who was found dead in her home on February 23, according to court documents.

Bliefnick appeared on the game show in January 2020, and host Steve Harvey asked him, “What’s the biggest mistake you made at your wedding?”

“Honey, I love you, but, ‘said I do,’” he responded, prompting a mixed reaction from the audience.

“Not my mistake, not my mistake," he continued.

”I love my wife. I'm gonna get in trouble for that, aren't I?"

After Fox News Digital discovered the clip, Bliefnick’s attorney said, "It's a game show. A silly answer to a silly question on a silly show doesn't make one a murderer.”

KHQA-TV reported that Bliefnick and his wife were married in 2009, but at the time of her death the pair were undergoing divorce proceedings after having been separated for “several years”. After the couple separated they filed restraining orders against each other.

Bliefnick’s attorney Casey Schnack told E! News that he plans to plead not guilty at his next court hearing.

Prince Charles sparks new family feud rumours

Prince Charles is allegedly refusing to give his younger brother Edward the title of Duke of Edinburgh after Prince Philip’s death.

The Earl of Wessex has been waiting for his father’s title for over twenty years, however rumours are swirling that Charles is not so keen on fulfilling his brother’s wishes.

The title of the Duke of Edinburgh was passed down to Philip’s eldest son, Charles following his death in April.

However, the title has long been expected to be passed down to Edward.

In 1999, Buckingham Palace announced to the world that Edward would succeed his father in the dukedom “in due course”.

At the time, he had the blessing of the Queen and Prince Philip.

After his marriage to Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999, the Queen gifted him a title of his choosing, the earldom of Wessex.

However, Charlie may not hand the title to his younger brother, with the Sunday Times reporting he is reassessing his future.

A source close to Charles told the newspaper: “The prince is the Duke of Edinburgh as it stands, and it is up to him what happens to the title. It will not go to Edward.”

Another revealed: “Edinburgh won’t go to them (the Wessexes) as far as the prince is concerned.”

When Charles becomes king, the title of the Duke of Edinburgh will merge with the crown, meaning the new patriarch will be able to grant Edward the title of Duke of Edinburgh.

In an interview with the BBC last month, Edward made it clear the new title was a decision completely in his older brother’s hands.

The royal was asked: “You will be the next Duke of Edinburgh, when the Prince of Wales becomes king, that is quite something to take on?”

Edward responded: “It was fine in theory, ages ago when it was sort of a pipe dream of my father’s … and of course it will depend on whether or not the Prince of Wales, when he becomes king, whether he’ll do that, so we’ll wait and see. So yes, it will be quite a challenge taking that on.”

The Earl of Wessex admitted that the granting of the title is “bittersweet” for him as it only happens “after both my parents have actually passed away”.

Images: Getty Images

Harry and William’s brotherly feud set aside for Princess Diana’s big unveiling

The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex set aside their rumoured long-standing feud to pay homage to their late mother, Princess Diana, for what would have been her 60th birthday.

In a joint tribute, the royal brothers said: "Today, on what would have been our mother's 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.

"Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy.

"Thank you to Ian Rank-Broadley, Pip Morrison and their teams for their outstanding work, to the friends and donors who helped make this happen, and to all those around the world who keep our mother’s memory alive."

The event marked the first time both the Duke of Cambridge and Sussex have been pictured together since the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral in April.

Prince Harry travelled all the way to the UK from Los Angeles last Friday in order to undergo a period of isolation before attending the event.

William and Harry, who looked dapper in dark suits with ties, and first greeted the chairman of the statue committee Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton.

The royal brothers looked at ease as they shared a laugh with the ex-Army officer.

Harry was also able to reunite with his mother's siblings, Lady Sarah McCorquodale, Lady Jane Fellowes and Earl Spencer.

The royal statue of Princess Di proved to be a remarkable gesture, and is engraved with the royal's name and the date of the unveiling.

A paving stone in front is engraved with an extract after the poem The Measure of A Man, which was in the programme for the 2007 memorial service for the Princess.

It reads: "These are the units to measure the worth
"Of this woman as a woman regardless of birth.
"Not what was her station?
"But had she a heart?
"How did she play her God-given part?"

The stunning bronze statue shows Diana in her later years, surrounded by three children.

In a statement, Kensington Palace said: "The statue aims to reflect the warmth, elegance and energy of Diana, Princess of Wales, in addition to her work and the impact she had on so many people.

"The figure of Diana, Princess of Wales is surrounded by three children who represent the universality and generational impact of the Princess' work.

"The portrait and style of dress was based on the final period of her life as she gained confidence in her role as an ambassador for humanitarian causes and aims to convey her character and compassion."

William could be heard saying "ready?" to his little brother before they both pulled off the cloth and the guests applauded.

The brothers were seen speaking to the Sunken Garden's designer, Pip Morrison, who said the garden was a “calming place”.

"We have worked carefully to ensure that the new layout and planting scheme complements the statue, providing a calming place for people who visit Kensington Palace to remember the Princess.”

Sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley also honoured the late royal, saying: "Diana, Princess of Wales was an icon who touched the lives of people right around the world, so it has been a privilege to work alongside Prince William and Prince Harry on this statue which commemorates her life.

"We wanted to capture her warmth and humanity while showcasing the impact she had across generations. I hope that people will enjoy visiting the statue and the Sunken Garden, and taking a moment to remember the Princess."

Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, was also spotted at Kensington Palace for the emotional unveiling, and called the brief ceremony “intimate, moving and peaceful.”

"To have had a lovely summer's day today with the roses and geranium in full bloom was just perfect.

“We were standing here in February up to our knees in mud, at that point we didn't think we would ever get to this day."

Images: Getty

"Very real, very ugly" feud between Prince Harry and William confirmed

Prince Harry and Prince William are reportedly working on repairing their relationship as brothers after an intense year.

An insider confirmed to Us Weekly that the British brothers have made strides to repair the relationship, but have a long way to go.

“William and Harry’s fallout was very real, very ugly and incredibly intense,” the insider told the outlet.

“They’d reached an impasse, there was so much mud under the bridge and a lot of people felt their feud was beyond repair.”

Things allegedly escalated after Prince Harry confirmed that himself and his brother were on "different paths" back in 2019, but the height of the fallout was when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away as senior members from the British royal family.

“Part of this role and part of this job, this family, being under the pressure that it’s under, inevitably stuff happens,” Prince Harry said at the time in ITV's 2019 documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

“But look, we’re brothers, we’ll always be brothers. We’re certainly on different paths at the moment but I’ll always be there for him and I know he’ll always be there for me.”

The insider claims it has been a "rollercoaster".

“It’s certainly been a roller coaster for everyone involved, especially the brothers, who are vowing not to let things get this out of hand in the future and have learned a lot from this difficult experience,” the insider said.

The insider also alleged that the pair, once border restrictions are lifted, are planning to reunite in England.

“(William and Harry) are looking forward to spending time together in person the moment it’s safe to travel,” confirmed the insider.

Royal historian and biographer Robert Lacey agreed that the brothers had a fight as "royals are expected to know their place".

“Royals are expected to know their place,” Lacey continued.

“And Harry, of course, was expected to marry a nice girl named Henrietta or Gabriella who lived in the provinces of Britain in the countryside and settle down. But Meghan and Harry both made it clear they wanted to do so much more than that. And let’s just say there are things that you can and cannot do when it comes to running the royal family and what it stands for.”

He also agreed that their relationship would take some time to heal.

“I think it would always have happened that Meghan and Harry would live on the other side of the world,” he said. ”I think Meghan and Harry will remain based in North America. Unless the brothers can find a way to reconcile, they will have to go their separate ways and keep mutual respect for each other.”

“We do know that in July 2021, both brothers have committed to being in Kensington Gardens for the unveiling of the statue dedicated to their late mother, Princess Diana,” he pointed out.

“The world will judge then. But there is a lot of work to be done.”

It is currently unknown whether the statue unveiling will go ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic and current travel restrictions.

I apologised afterwards when I bumped into her in a restaurant in France and she was very gracious about it.”

However, John ran his mouth later on, calling out Madonna for lip-syncing.

“Madonna, best live act? F*** off. Since when has lip-syncing been live?” John said in 2004 after accepting an award for classic songwriter at the 2004 Q Awards.

“Sorry about that, but I think everyone who lip-syncs on stage in public when you pay like 75 quid to see them should be shot. Thank you very much. That’s me off her Christmas card list, but do I give a toss? No.”

Madonna addressed the matter in 2012 backstage at the Golden Globes, after she won Best Original Song.

She said: “I hope he speaks to me for the next couple of years. He’s known to get mad at me… He’ll win another award. I don’t feel bad.”

William Shatner hits out at millennials in Twitter feud

William Shatner has hit out at millennials after being called a “boomer” on Twitter.

The Star Trek actor waded into a intergenerational row after one Twitter user replied to his post with “OK Boomer”.

According to the ABC, the popular catchphrase is generally used to respond to “what’s perceived to be some older people’s sense of entitlement, outdated ways of thinking, or condescending attitudes towards younger generations”.

The 88-year-old actor does not fall into the baby boomer generation, which includes people being born between 1946 and 1964.

Shatner responded to the “Boomer” comment: “Sweetheart, that’s a compliment for me.”

“I’m not really into pejoratives, but what’s the term for people when they can’t interpret a joke?” the user replied.

“Millennial?” Shatner hit back.

Shatner wrote on another post, “I feel it’s like one of those childish insults in fandom that seem to affect the delicate types to the point they meltdown and go over the rest of our heads as something ridiculous.”

Sweetheart, that’s a compliment for me. 😘 https://t.co/djCtjiGBwr
— William Shatner (@WilliamShatner) November 6, 2019

One user explained that the line was directed at “boomers who don’t realise that the hardships that the millennials inherited are not their fault”, and that the younger generation “are trying to survive a world that has all but been destroyed and that doesn’t make them lazy”.

Shatner replied, “And the meek shall inherit... is that all your generation does is point fingers and blame others for their pity parties? Yet, right now, the average age of this 52nd Parliament is 49 years old,” she said.

"Mr Speaker, how many world leaders, for how many decades have seen and known what is coming but have decided that it is more politically expedient to keep it behind closed doors. Did Novak Djokovic just reignite his feud with Nick Kyrgios? His subtle swipe

Novak Djokovic has kept a cool head as he’s ignored Nick Kyrgios’ podcast taunts. However, as Wimbledon is now over, it appears all bets are off.

The back-to-back Wimbledon champion has shown a hint of his true feelings towards the Australian tennis player.

Vocal tennis legend John McEnroe was quoted from a BBC Radio interview, where he declared that Kyrgios would be a top five player on the planet if he was able to keep his efforts consistent and honest.

“Is he good for the game? Yes he’s good for the game,” McEnroe told BBC Radio 5.

“Does he sell tickets? Yes. I can’t handle the fact that he only tries half the time. We can’t support that anymore. I don’t think he should be out there anymore unless he gives an honest effort — that’s my personal opinion.

“The guy would be top five in the world for sure if he was able to do it [give honest effort]. He’s got an incredible – this is my opinion – fear of failure. He doesn’t even allow himself to train hard enough to give himself a chance.

“You saw what he is capable of, he was driving Nadal crazy, it was the best second-round match, one of the best matches of the whole tournament. But when he plays guys he’s supposed to beat, he doesn’t even show up.”

UK tennis site tennissportwalkin republished his comments on their Instagram and Djokovic liked the post.

View this post on Instagram

🗣🎾 @johnmcenroeofficial felt @k1ngkyrg1os could make himself a fortune if he changed his mentality. . . . . “We’re not mates”: Rod Stewart speaks out about 50-year feud with Elton John

The long-running feud between Sir Elton John and Rod Stewart has followed the duo as they’ve grown their careers for the last half of a century.

Although it was initially tongue-in-cheek, this no longer appears to be the case according to a recent interview in The Sun.

When Rod Stewart was asked about his thoughts on Elton John’s 300-date farewell tour, he didn’t hold back.

“I certainly won’t do 300 dates and then retire. I’ll just fade away like the old soldier I am,” he admitted.

When the interviewer inquired as to whether or not Elton and Rod have been in touch, Rod replied bluntly: “No, we’re not mates any more. We don’t talk to each other.”

However, it wasn’t always this way. The pair have bantered on and off for the last 50 years.

In many ways, the duo are chalk and cheese. With Elton being extravagant and prone to tantrums, Rod is a bit more laidback and a bit cheap.

The pair did share a love of football as well as a competitive streak, which is what kept the feud going for so long.

The pair have snipped at each other over a variety of things, including Elton’s weight.

"I really seriously think he (Elton) has got to lose a little bit of weight. He's looking really large," quipped Rod

"He always has a go about my nose and hair, so we just bitch every now and then," Rod admitted to The Morning Bulletin.

The pair used to insist that this was their way of showing affection, especially with Elton explaining that he and Rod were “cut from the same cloth”.

"We try and publicise the fact that we always have a go at each other in the papers, but in fact we do that for reasons only known to us, really. We're actually very good friends," said Elton.

However, that no longer appears to be the case.

It seems though that Rod wouldn’t mind following in the footsteps of Elton and his late close friend Freddie Mercury in the form of a biopic being made about his music and life.

View this post on Instagram

Congratulations to Rami Malek & all those behind Bohemian Rhapsody on their #GoldenGlobe win. What Kate and Meghan's body language says about their supposed "feud"

They’ve been dabbed the ‘royal fab four’ but reports at the end of last year alleged there was a strain in the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Although the royal foursome has not attended events often together since then, royal fans have a kept a keen eye on the family, who all appeared together last week to mark the 50-year anniversary of the investiture of Prince Charles becoming the Prince of Wales.

More recently, they all came together again for the Commonwealth Day celebrations in London on Monday.

The only factors royal fans are able to speculate on from the outside is Duchess Kate’s and Duchess Meghan’s body language. The question arises: What does the fab four’s body language tell us about the supposed feud?

Kirsty Milligan, a body language expert, told Yahoo Lifestyle that if there is a "feud", the royal family are good at hiding it from the public and keeping it purely behind closed doors.

“The ‘Fab Four’ are definitely well versed in how to maintain a professional/regal presence in public,” she said.

“If there is a rift, they’re very practiced in not allowing that to show.

“We can usually see this in facial expressions and guarded or protective body movements that show discomfort.”

Through analysing the behaviour of the Dukes and Duchesses at Buckingham Palace last week, Milligan added: “What we can see of their facial expressions is very composed. This could certainly be masking many other feelings and emotions.

“We do see a very polished and practiced public appearance, but it’s what we don’t see that might be more telling.”

Elly Johnson, another body language professional, believed the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex had other thoughts on her mind that are actually quite far away from the alleged "rift".

Speaking on the public appearance last week, Johnson said: “I believe Meghan is more focussed on figuring out exactly what she should do and when they should walk in, she is feeling a bit awkward, not having attended an event exactly like this before.”

She also explained the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are both aware of an order that should be “respected” in the royal family and are “conscious not to lead the way into the room".

Do you believe the reports that there is a rift between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex? Fergie opens up about Meghan and Kate ‘feud’ in open letter: “It’s not acceptable”

The Duchess of York has penned an open letter, saying that much of social media, such as Twitter and Instagram, “terrifies” her.

Writing in Hello! in support of their #HelloToKindness campaign, Sarah Ferguson, 59, explained:

“We need to pay more attention than ever to what we're all being exposed to online. It's time to confront head on the fact that much of social media has become a sewer.

“I'm on Twitter and Instagram, and I'm grateful for the fact that they allow me to communicate directly with people who are interested, promote my charitable causes and let people read my own words rather than someone else's slant on them.”

She then goes onto say:

“But the truth is, a lot about these sites terrifies me. I rarely if ever go 'below the line' on social media or news websites and read people's comments.”

Fergie was not immune to media comparisons back in the day, with many people pitting her and Princess Diana against each other.

“Women, in particular, are constantly pitted against and compared with each other in a way that reminds me of how people tried to portray Diana and I all the time as rivals, which is something neither of us ever really felt.

“People feel licensed to say things online that they would never dream of saying to someone's face, and that encourages others to pile in. Palace sets the record straight on Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan’s “alleged” feud

With news circulating about an alleged feud between Duchess Kate and Duchess Meghan in recent days, in a rare move, the palace has broken its silence and issued a statement to set the record straight.

British newspaper, The Sun reported on Saturday that the Duchess of Cambridge had a falling out with Meghan over her attitude towards her staff members, but a spokesman from Kensington Palace has since refuted that claim.

“This never happened,” said the royal spokesman.

According to People magazine, the palace is not one to respond to petty rumours, which is why it is yet to comment on other allegations that surfaced in recent weeks, such as how Kate was “left in tears” after a dress fitting for Princess Charlotte for Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s wedding day.

“Kate had only just given birth to Prince Louis and was feeling quite emotional – though just what upset her is unclear,” a source told royals reporter Camilla Tominey of The Telegraph.

The US magazine also claimed that during the lead up to Harry and Meghan’s wedding, those close to the bride and groom were under a fair amount of “stress”.

Only last month Kensington Palace announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were moving out of their Kensington Palace estate and into Frogmore Cottage early next year, as they prepare to welcome their first child.

“Windsor is a very special place for their royal highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate,” said the palace in a statement.

Despite Harry and Meghan moving out, the parents-to-be will still keep their offices in Kensington Palace.

Serena Williams reignites feud with Maria Sharapova

Serena Williams has hit back over false claims Maria Sharapova made about her in her book titled Unstoppable: My Life So Far, which was released last year.

Williams said she was disappointed with the claims made about her, which she described as “hearsay”.

Sharapova – who Williams has beaten 18 times in a row and is about to face her fierce rival ahead of their French Open clash – wrote in her recent memoir that Serena “hated” her for hearing her cry after the 2004 Wimbledon final.

“I think the book was 100 per cent hearsay, at least all the stuff I read and the quotes that I read, which was a little disappointing,” Williams stated, after her third-round win at the French Open against Julia Georges.

“I have cried in the locker room many times after a loss, and that’s what I have seen a lot of people do. I think it’s normal.”

The tennis champ added, “It’s a Wimbledon final, you know. So, it’s just, like, I think it would be more shocking if I wasn’t in tears.”

Williams said she was stunned how much she was mentioned in the Russian tennis player’s book, but also upset that she was portrayed as disliking Sharapova.

“The book was a lot about me,” Williams said. “I was surprised about that, to be honest. You know, I was, like, ‘Oh, OK.’ I didn’t expect to be reading a book about me, that wasn’t necessarily true.”

Playing at the French Open, her first tournament since becoming a mum to Alexis Olympia last September, Williams continued, “I don’t have any negative feelings towards her, which again, was a little disappointing to see in that hearsay book. Especially having a daughter, I feel like negativity is taught. One of the things I always say, I feel like women, especially, should bring each other up.”

She added, “If anything, I feel like we should encourage each other, and the success of one female should be the inspiration to another, and I have said that 1000 times.”

Sharapova, who returned to competitive tennis in April 2017 after a 15-month suspension for doping, also wrote in her book: “Serena and I should be friends; we have the same passion. But we are not. I think, to some extent, we have driven each other. Maybe that’s what it takes … Who knows? Someday, when all this is in our past, maybe we’ll become friends.”

Neighbours in parking feud swap passive aggressive windscreen notes

Two neighbours in London have been left in a parking feud, which was first started when a passive aggressive note was left on a car windscreen.

The driver, who started the angry note exchange, became furious after noticing that his neighbour had parked over two spaces.

"Your selfish inconsiderate parking is atrocious," he wrote on the note that was left on the windscreen.

He also accused the owner of the car of “wasting space” by parking in the middle of two spots.

However, when the car owner saw the note left on their vehicle, they didn’t take it very well and decided to fight back.

The owner of the car penned their own passive aggressive note, which has since been shared on Reddit.

"To whoever put the note here and the one before that, has it ever occurred to you that I might have parked very considerately behind a car in the only space provided and that subsequently the other cars moved away leaving my a car where it was?" the owner of the parked car wrote.

"From now on, please take note: I always park as considerately as I am able to in the space there is.

"Kindly stop putting passive aggressive notes on my car.

"PS. If you had the courtesy to let me know which house you are in, I could have explained this in person."

The owner also wanted to talk to the person face to face, to end the parking feud.

"If you would like to have a civilised discussion about this instead of making me feel like I am being harassed by an unseen stranger, please drop by, or at least drop a note in my door letting me know which door I can post a response into, instead of making me feel like I have a primary school feud," he wrote.

It is unknown if the pair have since met in person and made amends.

Have you ever been involved in a parking feud with a neighbour? Let us know in the comments below.

5 of the most shocking celebrity feuds of all time

Admit it – we all love a bit of celebrity drama from time to time. It’s a morbid curiosity, but don’t worry, you’re not alone in wondering what really goes on behind the scenes of our favourite movies, TV shows and backstage at concerts.

So, to satisfy your thirst for gossip, we’ve taken a look at some of the most scandalous celebrity feuds that Hollywood has ever seen, and dig down into the real reason behind them.

1. Prince vs. Michael Jackson

They’re two of music’s most iconic figures, but there was no love lost between Prince and Michael Jackson. After a number of spats, Prince reportedly rejected Jackson’s offer to collaborate on the hit song “Bad,” instead recording a mock version of the song and sending it to him. Jackson later referred to Prince as “one of the rudest people” he’d ever met, saying “I don’t like to be compared to Prince at all.”

2. Joan Rivers vs. Johnny Carson

Johnny Carson, host of The Tonight Show from 1962 to 1992, employed up-and-coming comedienne Joan Rivers as a permanent guest host in 1983 – although she had essentially held this role for the past year. However, when Fox offered Rivers her own rival late-night show in 1986, she understandably jumped at the opportunity – but Carson wasn’t happy. Rivers’ show wasn’t a success, but Carson still never forgave her, going so far as to ban her from ever appearing on his (or his successor Jay Leno’s) show ever again.

3. Will Smith vs. Janet Hubert

You may remember that in 1993, Janet Hubert, who played Will’s on-screen aunt Vivian Banks, was replaced by Daphne Maxwell Reid. But you might not know the reason why she was replaced. According to Smith, Hubert wasn’t thrilled that such a young actor had scored himself his very own show at the start of his career, while she had struggled in showbiz for 10 years. The feud only escalated when Hubert slammed Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith for boycotting the Oscars in 2016.

4. Debbie Reynolds vs. Elizabeth Taylor

The two screen icons first met in the early 1950s and got along very well, but their relationship quickly soured after the death of Taylor’s then-husband, Mike Todd. Reynolds’ husband Eddie Fisher grew close to Taylor, comforting her during her period of mourning, but their friendship soon blossomed into romance. They began an affair and were married just one year after Todd’s death. Reynolds was heartbroken and didn’t speak to Taylor for seven years – until they reunited in 1966 and rekindled their friendship, which lasted for the rest of their lives.

5. Aretha Franklin vs. Tina Turner

Two of the biggest singers in music history began a battle of egos back at the 2008 Grammy Awards. When Beyoncé introduced Turner as “the queen” when she stepped on stage for a performance, Franklin (long been known as “the queen of soul”) wasn’t happy. She slammed Beyoncé and the Grammy writers, but had the biggest beef with Turner herself, who responded to the controversy by saying, “[Franklin’s] ego must be so big to think she was the only [queen].” Franklin stepped the spat up, saying, “I never figured [Turner] to resort to tacky press just to sell a few tickets.”
