Why it's time you checked out the Truffle Kerfuffle

Celebrate a delicious delicacy in the heart of truffle country, Manjimup WA.

What is it?

Majimup is Australia’s truffle capital and produces more of the rare black perigold truffle than anywhere else in the southern hemisphere. Every year, the Truffle Kerfuffle celebrates these tasty tubers with a hands-on, adventurous festival. This year’s Truffle Kerfuffle will be held from June 23-25.

What events are there?

Festival Village is at the heart of the action with live music, local wine and cider bars, food stalls (using plenty of truffles), workshops, tastings, demonstrations and more. Then there are plenty of special events. The Hunter’s Breakfast will be hosted by local chefs, serving up a multi-course feast of seasonal produce, truffles and sparkling wine. Join highly-trained truffle dogs on the hunt through the forest, unearthing the delicacies. Taste local wines at The Shed or indulge in a truffle-themed dinner with matching wines served in the festival’s signature restaurant.

How much is it?

Tickets to the Festival Village start from $35 per person. Other events range in prices, from around $50 up to $200+ for special dinners.

Where is it?

The festival centres around Fonty’s Pool in Manjimup, a region in the very southwest corner of Western Australia. It's around three and a half hours from Perth or 90 minutes from Margaret River.

Where can I stay?

There are a few hotel or B&B options in Manjimup or surrounding towns, but for the full experience check in to one of the camping villages at Fonty’s Pool itself. The luxury Soul Camping Village has stylish bell canvas tents with crisp white linen, fluffy towels and even a hot water bottle. Facilities are a little more basic at WA Glamping Village though you’ll still be sleeping on raised camp beds with memory foam mattresses.
