Chris Hemsworth's wife forced to flee car due to floodwaters
Chris Hemworth's wife Elsa Pataky was stuck in floodwaters as she tried to drive to her house in Byron Bay.
She documented the journey on Instagram, saying that she was "a bit too optimistic" and was "so sure I could cross".
The footage shows her car surrounded by floodwater.
Pataky continued to show her followers the journey, saying "Oh god, what am I doing?" and announced that her only option was "through the window".
After climbing out of her car, she waded out of the water and received help from her friends who towed the car out of the floodwaters.
“What would I do without you guys,” Pataky said to her rescuers.
