Many people preparing their toiletries bag for a big trip discard their dental floss, simply to save a little bit of space. But there’s a compelling reason to keep floss in your travel bag, and it’s got nothing to do with keeping your teeth clean.
When you’re not using it to get rid of little bits of gunk in your smile, dental floss becomes the perfect emergency thread to deal with any travel clothing mishap.
Torn hem and loose buttons causing problems? Dental floss works as a thread substitute in a pinch, and while it might not be as durable as actual thread it might just be enough to see you through to the end of your trip, without causing an embarrassing international incident.
