The secret trick for more legroom on a flight

As anyone who’s experienced the sardine treatment on a long-haul economy flight would agree, when you’re stuck in cattle-class every inch of legroom counts.

While you can’t do anything about the negligent passenger in front of you fully-reclining, there are a few space-saving measures that can make your flight more comfortable.

And today’s trick could be a real lifesaver.

When you find your seat remove the contents of the seat-back pocket (except the emergency info as there’s no point tempting fate) and stow it in the overhead bin.

This should eke out a couple of extra inches of legroom.

Do you have any tips for coping with long-haul flights?
