World’s first racetrack on a cruise

Norwegian Cruise Line and Ferrari have partnered up to create the world’s first racetrack at sea.

The cruise line has announced plans for a 3,850-passenger vessel that will have a two-level racetrack. Of course, the track will be in partnership with the brand most synonymous with fast cars: Ferrari.

The cruise ship, dubbed Norwegian Joy, will feature a track large enough to support up to 10 drivers racing go-karts up to 64kms per hour. It will be the world’s first racetrack at sea.

Norwegian Joy will be one of the largest ships in the brand's fleet projected to be 1094 feet long and 136 feet wide, and weighing 168,800 gross tonnes.

Norwegian Joy will have its inaugural port tour on June 27.
