What a Christmas cruise really looks like

Christmas is a wonderful time of year to spend with family, friends and loved ones. According to Caribbean Princess, Christmas week is also one of the most popular weeks to sail.

Many passengers who choose to cruise during Christmas travel with their families instead of running around at home during the lead up to the holiday season.

A Christmas cruise is different to a regular cruise on the Caribbean Princess because all week long, staff offer special holiday programs such as gingerbread house making to watching Christmas movies on the large movie screens outdoors.

The ship is decked out in decorations, special displays and of course features a magnificent Christmas tree.

A priest leads Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services and on Christmas morning, Santa arrives to greet the children.
