Fashion icon Iris Apfel shares her advice for travelling in style
Fashion designer and icon Iris Apfel is always ready to flaunt her most extravagant outfit.
In an interview with The Telegraph, the 95-year-old shares her advice on choosing what clothes to pack when you travel.
“I don’t pack light,” she said. “That’s why I love to travel by ship... no luggage restrictions! I mean, if you have beautiful clothes you want to take them with you.”
When cruising, Iris says there is one go-to look that she can always count on.
For dressed-up dinners and events, Iris relies on elegant jackets.
“I have a collection of elegant jackets that I pair with slim pants. And of course, accessories help create a variety of looks.”
Iris also shared the mantra she lives by to looking timelessly stylish.
“Don’t follow trends," she said. "Buy clothes that work for you, not because they are trendy, and you will have them a lifetime and always look great.
"Nothing makes a woman look older than trying to dress younger,” she added.
