14 candid photos show what a mega-cruise is really like

With a capacity of 6,300 passengers, there are times when Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas must feel less like a cruise ship and more like a floating city.

But what’s life really like on this mega-cruise?

Sicilian photographer, Maria Vittoria Trovato, has tried to answer that question in the photo essay in the gallery above, showcasing her time on the mammoth ship.

Trovato’s work will be exhibited as part of the Gibellina PhotoRoad - International Open Air Photography Festival, held form July 29 to August 31 in Sicily.

Trovato told Huffington Post, “I’ve always enjoyed watching what other people do when they’re together, especially in a limited space like a specific neighbourhood, a shopping mall, a U.S. military base, or, in this case, a cruise ship ― which is like a travelling city.”
