Why the Queen is “amazed” by Duchess Meghan
The Duchess of Sussex has been praised for her impeccable work ethic by none other than the boss herself – Queen Elizabeth II.
Travelling between New York for her extravagant baby shower to an official royal trip to Morocco this week, the mother-to-be has been keeping herself busy despite being so far along in her pregnancy.
And her hard work hasn’t gone by unnoticed, as it’s said that the Queen is planning to gift Meghan with a “rare present” to thank her for her efforts.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, a palace aide revealed: “The Queen is amazed by the Duchess’s energy and stamina given that she is heavily pregnant.
“For the Queen and her generation, you generally hid your bump and put your feet up in this stage of pregnancy, but Meghan hasn’t stopped.”
The Palace insider also said that it’s a rare occasion for the Queen to commend a royal member for their work, but the Duchess will be receiving a handwritten thank you note to show her gratitude.
The insider said: “There may well be a letter waiting for the Duke and Duchess when they return. She respects hard work and loyalty above everything.”
And the Queen isn’t the only one who was impressed with the royal, as according to insiders, courtiers in Morocco also commented on the Duchess’s “serious stamina” and said, “her work is ethic is pretty impressive, she really doesn’t stop”.
While Meghan’s due date has not been officially announced, the couple said that they were expecting to welcome their first-born in the British spring 2019, and it's expected the baby will arrive in late April.
