Top chef shares his secret to perfect scrambled eggs

It’s one of the simplest meals of all time – with many claiming to have the best method – but top chef Anthony Bourdain is here to tell you that you’re making scrambled eggs all wrong.

If you’re adding milk, cream or water into your scrambled egg recipe, Bourdain says stop.

The US chef says the perfect scrambled eggs are “all about the egg”, advising against adding any dairy, apart from a generous amount of butter.

The 60-year-old told Tech Insider: “I just don’t feel that milk or cream adds anything. It’s about the egg. You’re not making a quiche here, you’re making scrambled eggs.”

So how should you be preparing the classic breakfast meal? According to Bourdain, it should go something like the above.

Tell us in the comments below, what’s your tip for the perfect scrambled eggs?
