The very sweet way Duchess Kate celebrated her 37th birthday

The Duchess of Cambridge celebrated her 37th birthday on January 9 and wanted a low-key celebration. According to Vanity Fair, the Duchess celebrated at Kensington Palace with a tea party.

“Kate’s not into big birthday celebrations, but [Prince] George and [Princess] Charlotte adore birthday cake, so there will be a special tea party at the Palace with candles and presents,” a royal insider revealed.

The family was busy, with Prince George off at school and the Duke of Cambridge on an official royal engagement visiting the Air Ambulance service in London.

This engagement was to mark the 30th anniversary of the Air Ambulance service.

Prince William visited Royal London Hospital and got the opportunity to discover the challenges faced by Air Ambulance in the air.

At the event, a group of children gave the Duke of Cambridge a birthday card to pass onto his wife.

"Well done for remembering! I did remember this morning, so that was OK!” William confessed.

The card had a very sweet message inside, with the group of children wishing the Duchess “the best birthday you could imagine”.

There’s no doubt that after Prince William finished his engagement, he was off home to spend time with the birthday girl.
