The Queen has a very busy schedule and in order to avoid the Christmas rush, the 92-year-old monarch begins planning her gifts as early as March.
Queen Elizabeth II needs to start planning her presents so early, as she provides a gift for each of her 500 staff.
However, there is one rule that determines whether or not the palace workers will be receiving something special from Her Majesty.
Only employees who have worked in her household for at least one year will be presented a gift.
Workers also must choose their own gift under the prescribed budget.
According to the Mirror, junior staff are allowed to spend up to £25, with the amount increasing each year until it is capped at a maximum of £35.
A week before Christmas, the Queen has a special tradition with her workers where they gather at the state apartments and she hands them their Christmas present.
The Queen and Prince Philip also hand out Christmas puddings to their worker as well, reported Marie Claire.
As well as getting gifts for her own family and her workers, the Queen also sends out over 750 personal Christmas cards to friends, politicians and other royals around the world.
