The Queen’s second extravagant gift to Prince Harry and Meghan

Despite moving into their new home Frogmore Cottage only a month ago, the Queen has decided to bestow another generous gift on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – a home inside Buckingham Palace.

According to Mail on Sunday, the head of the monarch had gifted the new parents Frogmore Cottage in November last year as a wedding gift, but as they are located outside of inner London, she thought it would be fitting to give them a more convenient space for when they’re staying in the capital.

And that wasn’t the only major change the couple went through, as they had also split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Kensington Palace earlier in the year.

Their current place of residence in Windsor is a 40-minute drive from the city, so the Queen’s extravagant offer is most likely a welcome one.

Other members of the royal family have also chosen to live outside of hustling and bustling London. Prince Andrew lives in Windsor, with his ex-wife Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, and Prince Edward lives in Bagshot Heath with his wife Countess Sophie and their two children. Prince Edward and Prince Andrew also both have apartments inside the palace walls.
