The adorable name Prince William’s children call him

The adorable children of Prince William and Duchess Kate, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are known to have special nicknames for their family members.

Earlier this month, Prince Charles revealed that his grandchildren affectionately call him ‘Grandpa Wales’, while the Queen is known as ‘Gan Gan’ to the young royals.

Now, Kate has revealed the special name they have for their father, the Duke of Cambridge.

While visiting Leicester City with her husband, Kate said that her children refer to their dad as ‘Pops’.

One fan, Fiona Sturgess, asked the 36-year-old how her children were doing, to which she replied: “They are great, thank you.”

Fiona recalled of her conversation with the royal: "Kate said that William was playing football with the children last night and one of them said, I think it was George, 'Are you playing football tomorrow, Pops?'"

William and Kate were in Leicester to pay their respects to the football club’s owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who died in a helicopter crash.

The royal couple met with the club’s staff and volunteers before the Duchess of Cambridge lay a bouquet of flowers in tribute of the crash victims.

During their visit, the duo were also presented with mini team uniforms in personalised boxes for their children.

"They’ll be fighting over the Leicester and Aston Villa kits," Prince William joked.

"That’s very kind, that’s brilliant."

William, who is an Aston Villa fan, is the head of the Football Association.
