Single sisters organise wedding photoshoot for father with Alzheimer’s

After Scott Duncan, a US grandfather who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, was moved to a high care facility due to deteriorating health, his 23-year-old twin daughters decided to capture their father-daughter bond in the most beautiful way, staging a wedding shoot with their 80-year-old dad while they still had the chance.

Sarah and Becca Duncan aren’t engaged, but knowing they may not have much time left with their beloved father, decided to celebrate early with a gorgeous photoshoot.

“We just randomly thought of this idea,” Becca told ABC News. “Me and Sarah know that our dad is more than likely not going to be at our wedding – it's not being a downer or anything, we’re just being realistic – so we decided to do these wedding pictures with Dad.”

The twins donned stunning white gowns and took the sweet snaps outside their Texas home, and say their dad’s reaction was something they’ll never forget. “The entire experience was the best thing in the world,” Becca said. “Seeing him coming down the hall and seeing us in our wedding dresses and him smiling – it meant so much to us.”

Both Becca and Sarah are in long-term relationships and had planned for their father to be a big part of their wedding days, but if that isn’t a possibility, at least they have the next best thing. “It's something that we're going to have for the rest of our lives.”
