Royal fans “shocked” at how grown up Princess Mary’s kids are
Royal fans have expressed their awe of how much Princess Mary and Prince Frederik’s children have grown up, as the family attended a traditional Danish parade over the weekend.
The royals stepped out at the Gråsten Ring Rider Association’s annual parade in the gates of Gråsten Palace.
Prince Christian, 12, Princess Isabella, 11, and twins, Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent, 8, stole the spotlight at the event which also included a cavalcade of more than 300 horses.
“I'm shocked how much the children have grown up, especially Isabella – and Josephine takes after her mum so much,” one fan wrote online.
“Very nice to see the CP Family again. These children are growing so fast, Christian and Isabella almost are their mother’s height. Vincent and Josephine are not little children anymore. I must say everyone looks fantastic today,” another added.
The Danish royal family spent their time posing for photos at the palace gates before meeting attendees and getting involved in the activities.
According to the Danish Royal House, the parade – which dates back to medieval times – includes a tilting competition that lasts over several days.
The family-of-six greeted the riders at the gates before the competition, as a procession of 300 horse riders and 100 children on bicycles made their way past the palace.
The royals dressed casual for the parade, with Princess Mary looking stylish in a white top, a black skirt and beige flats.
Prince Frederik wore a short-sleeve button down T-shirt with pale blue shorts and sneakers for the festivities.
The family spend every summer in Gråsten Palace and leave in mid-July.
The residence is renowned for its impeccable gardens, lawns and lakes.
