Rare video shows killer whales devouring shark
Photographer Slater Moore has captured incredibly rare drone footage of a pod of killer whales feeding on a sevengill shark off the coast of southern California.
In his post to Facebook, Moore wrote: “This ecotype of Killer Whales often travels in large groups and are seen maybe a few times a year off the California coast. We saw about 25 individuals milling along when all of a sudden I saw a burst of bubbles come to the surface so I flew my drone over to get a better look and when I got there one of the killer whales brought a shark to the surface. They took turns sharing the Sevengill shark until there was nothing left and they moved on.”
