Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall announces pregnancy

Granddaughter to Queen Elizabeth II, Zara Tindall has announced that her and husband Mike Tindall are expecting a new addition to the family.

The British royal and her retired rugby player husband are already the proud parents of three-year-old daughter Mia.

In December 2016, Zara suffered a miscarriage, but the couple are overjoyed about the future with their new baby.

"I can confirm Zara is pregnant with her second child," a royal spokesperson for the couple said in a statement.

Their second child is reportedly due this summer, which means the Olympic silver medal-winning equestrian Zara will be sporting a bump for her cousin Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle.

William and Kate will also be adding to the royal family; however, the Duchess of Cambridge will give birth to their newborn before Harry’s big day.

Mike and Zara wed in July 2011 in Scotland and are currently enjoying time in Australia.

Mike has previously spoken about the pain of the miscarriage to The Sunday Times saying, “One thing you do learn is how many other people have to go through the same thing.

"The saving grace for us has been Mia. However down we feel, she will come running up in our faces," Mike added.
