Prince Harry takes next step in preparation to propose to Meghan Markle
They’ve been dating for almost a year, and signs are pointing to Prince Harry proposing to his actress girlfriend, Meghan Markle. The biggest barrier he must overcome, however, is securing permission from his grandmother, as per the law. According to reports, he may have done just that.
“The way it’s going, the engagement will probably happen this year,” a royal source told Star magazine. “Harry has got approval from the Queen to propose to Meghan, he’s already had those conversations with Her Majesty. An engagement is imminent.
“Harry has always had a good relationship with the Queen and they are an extremely close-knit family,” the insider added.
The couple are set to take a romantic trip to Africa in October, and many believe this could be where Harry pops the question, echoing Prince William’s proposal to the Duchess of Cambridge in Kenya in October, 2010.
The palace confirmed the relationship in November, slamming the media’s treatment of Markle during an intense period of speculation.
