Prince Charles’ adorable nickname for Meghan revealed

Since Prince Charles put his hand up to walk Meghan Markle down the aisle on her special day, their relationship has continued to blossom in the public eye.

From their close interactions at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday garden party to reports the 36-year-old has brought Prince Harry closer to his father, it is clear that Meghan and Charles have a special bond.

Mail on Sunday reporter Charlotte Griffith’s royal palace source has now revealed that Prince Charles has even christened his new daughter-in-law with an endearing nickname.

“The Duchess of Sussex has picked up a very unusual Royal nickname, my Palace moles reveal. Meghan was initially christened ‘Tungsten’ by Prince Charles – because she is tough and unbending, just like the very strong metal – and the affectionate name has stuck,” the reporter wrote.

The mole who has a direct link inside the palace explained: “Prince Charles admires Meghan for her strength and the backbone she gives Harry, who needs a tungsten-type figure in his life as he can be a bit of a softy. It’s become a term of endearment.”
