Peek inside President Obama’s new home

Where does a President's family move once they leave the White House?

For the Obamas, it appears the answer is a nine-bedroom home not far from their old digs.

It has been reported that President Barack Obama and his family will lease a house in the Kalorama neighbourhood of Washington, DC, while their daughter Sasha finishes school.

The house is believed to be owned by Joe Lockhart, the co-founded of Glover Park Group, and his wife Giovanna Gray Lockhart, the Washington editor of Glamour magazine.

It's not too much of a come-down, however. The 760 square-metre mansion is worth around US$6.3 million.

The house also features several gracious reception rooms and 8.5 bathrooms.
