Olivia Newton-John’s daughter shares update on mum’s cancer

Earlier in the year, Olivia Newton-John made the heartbreaking announcement that her breast cancer had returned after 25 years, forcing her to postpone her US and Canada tour dates. Now, her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, has shared an update on her mother’s health situation.

“She’s doing great!” Lattanzi confirmed. “[She’s] at a healing centre with lots of wild kittens! Just wanted to let you all know how well she’s doing. I love you guys. We love you!”

The 68-year-old star’s fans were thrilled to hear the good news, with one commenter writing, “Thanks for the information. I'm still praying for your mum every day. She's such a strong and wonderful lady, just like you. You two are such an inspiration and I look up to you both in so many ways, you have no idea! Lots of love to you two gorgeous ladies.”

Newton-John was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 at the age of 43, leading to a partial mastectomy, intense chemotherapy and breast reconstruction. Nine years ago, she opened the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.
