Sir Ian McKellen’s family recipe: “best scrambled eggs in the world”
He’s conquered the acting world but it seems Sir Ian McKellen is also quite talented in the world of cooking, or at least making the perfect scrambled eggs.
In celebration of the success of his latest film, Mr Holmes, the 76-year-old decided to share his family’s secret recipe for scrambled eggs with his Facebook followers
“I am going to cook my favourite breakfast, which is scrambled eggs. You’re lucky because these are the best scrambled eggs in the world and like all my recipes this is a family one,” Sir Ian says in the video.
So what’s the secret? Load up on the butter, don’t use a frypan and keep stirring. But we know the dulcet tones of McKellen will be much more convincing so watch the video above.
