Get a job at Buckingham Palace working for the royals

While the Queen has plenty of staff under her to maintain her family’s busy schedules and care for the palace, the monarch is looking to expand her team.

Buckingham Palace is looking to hire a qualified gardener to tend to its grounds.

The gardener who is offered the job will be able to live at the palace and have all meals provided for.

The job ad describes the ideal candidate as someone who would enjoy working “at the heart of a world famous institution” and aims “for perfection in all you do”.

The role would include maintaining the lawns and hedges and planting new shrubbery, bulbs and seasonal flower displays that will be seen by the world.

The gardener also must be motivated and self-disciplined, as well as have a clean UK driving licence and confidence in driving a truck.

Earlier this year, the BBC released a documentary The Queen’s Green Planet, which showed Her Majesty and Sir David Attenborough strolling through the immaculate grounds.

Buckingham Palace has the largest private garden in London.

The grounds have been extensively filmed and photographed and are used to host plenty of events for the Royal Family.

However, if you want to work for the Palace but don’t have professional gardening experience, they are also hiring an Assistant Housekeeper, Housekeeping Assistant, Chef de Partie and Office Assistant.
