Big Mac survives hot lava being poured on it
This disturbing footage shows boiling, molten hot lava being poured over a store bought Big Mac, with the product remaining virtually intact.
As the liquid hits the bun, large flames erupt immediately. However, within a few seconds, the bun appears to "put out the flames" leading to the suggestion that the bun and its various ingredients have flame retardant properties. The rest of the burger continues to withstand temperatures of around 1085°C for the majority of the video.
By the end of the three-minute experience, the burger has put up quite a fight.
