Watch these baby sloths learn to climb
An adorable video from Costa Rica’s Toucan Rescue Ranch gives insight into how orphaned baby sloths are taught the skills they need to survive in the wild.
The Rescue Ranch uses rocking chairs to imitate the movement of a tree swaying in the breeze and set the tiny critters out on a task (albeit, a very slow one) to make their way to the top. It’s a vital skill for the sloths to learn as the aim is to eventually rehabilitate them back into the wild, but it also happens to be an incredibly cute video – as well as kind of inspiring. Go baby sloths, you can do it!
