ABBA to reunite for “entertainment experience”
After almost 35 years since their final public performance, iconic Swedish pop group ABBA are set to reunite once more for “a new entertainment experience” that will allow fans to “see, hear, and feel ABBA in a way previously unimagined”.
The digital project will be helmed by music mogul Simon Fuller (the man behind the Spice Girls and American Idol) and will reportedly utilise “the very latest in digital and virtual reality technology,” designed to bring Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lynstad’s music to a whole new generation – as well as to their decades-long fans.
“The members of ABBA will be involved throughout the creative process maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the bands original vision within this exciting new realm of entertainment possibilities,” a representative for the band wrote in a statement posted on Facebook.
While details are rather scarce at the moment, it’s safe to say the world will be watching closely! Tell us in the comments below, are you excited for ABBA’s new project?
