Couple find love and wed in their retirement home

Robert Holler and Doris Ladner have tied the knot at their retirement home after meeting each other there and falling in love.

Robert who is 84-years-old was smitten with 89-year-old Doris ever since she entered Woodland Village Nursing Center in Mississippi.

Robert was the first person at the retirement home to introduce himself to Doris and now the pair are inseparable.

Last Saturday, the couple had their wedding at Woodland Village with their friends and family joining them to celebrate their love with cake and dancing.

Doris looked beautiful in a blue ensemble for the wedding and the couple held hands during the entire ceremony.

The administration at Woodland Village, Holly Ford, explained that the couple were the first residents to every marry on the retirement home property.

Staff of the retirement home have been touched by the love of couple with the pair always being spotted holding hands and Robert bringing Doris coffee every morning.

Both Robert and Doris were previously married and the staff are happy to see them find happiness together.

"While many perceive nursing homes as end-of-life care, Ladner and Holler were able to find joy and love in each other's company and spend the rest of their lives together," Holly said.
