The best countries to retire in

New Zealand has been named one of the top 10 countries in the world to retire.

The 2015 Global Retirement Index, produced by Natixis Global Asset Management, is based on a ranking of countries scoring in 20 performance indicators, including health services, safety and comfort. The countries were also scored based on their economic performances.

According to Natixis, New Zealand has relatively low levels of public debt and inflation, high income equality and a strong welfare system.
