Royal insiders say engagement is imminent: "Within the week"
Royal insiders believe a royal engagement is imminent, expecting a big announcement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to be made, “within the week”.
These rumours come as bookies around the world have suspended bets on the announcement, with the couple tipped to officially tie the knot in 2019.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Punters are wondering who’ll pop first — Harry with the question or Kate with the baby!
“As far as we’re concerned, it’s now a matter of when and not if Harry gets down on one knee this year.”
The London Evening Standard reports the BBC has been primed for a major royal announcement in the coming days, following news of Markle’s departure from the popular program Suits and her move to London to be closer to Harry.
