Princess Eugenie breaks her silence since Prince Andrew scandal

Princess Eugenie has shared her first Instagram post since her father’s widely panned interview with the BBC about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Princess of York broke her two-month social media silence to publish a picture of herself and her husband Jack Brooksbank from 2018 in celebration of the second anniversary of their engagement announcement.

“On this day two years ago... Jack and I announced we were engaged,” the 29-year-old wrote in the caption.

Royal fans welcomed the princess’ return to Instagram. “Welcome back to Instagram. I hope you and Jack are doing well,” one commented.

The princess’ last Instagram post was on November 16, the same day that Prince Andrew’s interview about his links to Epstein aired on the BBC.

Eugenie tied the knot with Brooksbank in October 2018. Last year, the princess marked their first anniversary with a video from the pair’s wedding day.

Eugenie’s elder sister Beatrice got engaged to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi in September 2019. Their wedding is expected to take place this year.
