OverSixty readers are avid fans of the royal family and we thought it was time to ask who your favourite royal family member is and why.

Elizabeth Ann Bailey - The Queen...very hard public life 24/7. Everybody is just waiting for her to make a mistake. She is an amazing lady.
Jan Dower - Princess Anne, she quietly carries out her Royal duties without any fuss or fanfare. She is always dressed lovely, not as fashion conscious I guess as some of the other Royal ladies however it suits her.. She is loyal to her family, well spoken and she loves animals.
Ariete Jardim - Prince Harry because he is more normal than all the others and he says what he feels without having to check if it’s allowed or not.
Marilyn Spencer - Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Charles for his stance on conservation. Princess Anne, what you see is what you get. No pomp and ceremony just hard working Anne.
Wilma Mumford - Apart from the Queen I’d say Prince Harry! Sick of people downgrading him as I bet their lives aren't perfect.
Caroline Jay - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth…She has served her country for 70 years and I’m sure it hasn’t all been easy, regardless of her luxury lifestyle. My next favourites have to be William and Kate.
Helen Joan Harmon - Princess Anne, the quiet achiever.
Alec Anne Phillips - A tie between the Queen and Princess Anne. They both earn their money with their dedication and hard work over decades without causing scandals. Princess Anne's first marriage and remarriage was done without the dramas of her two brothers.
Irene Hood - After all she's been through, the Queen is incredible. When most people her age are gone, or in aged care, she is active, intelligent and dedicated to the Commonwealth and having to put up with appalling behaviour from some of her family members. So, here's to the Queen, followed by Princess Anne, Sophie, William and Kate.
Julie HoyPoy - Princess Anne and Camilla, both quietly hard working.
