More baby joy! Pippa Middleton welcomes her first child

Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, has welcomed her first child with husband James Matthews.

The new mother gave birth to a baby boy, weighing 3.88kg, at the same hospital her sister famously gave birth in – the Lindo Wing in West London.

Earlier on Tuesday, photos of Pippa arriving at the hospital circulated as people prepared themselves for the happy news.

The ward – which is the place of birth of her nephews Prince George and Prince Louis and niece Princess Charlotte – clearly treated the 35-year-old well as she was seen smiling and happy.

According to the the Daily Express royal reporter, Richard Palmer, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted for the new parents.

Only a day before Pippa gave birth, Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex announced that they are expecting their first child as they landed in Australia to kick start their tour for the Invictus Games.

Pippa, who caused speculation about her pregnancy earlier in the year, confirmed the news when speaking to British supermarket chain Waitrose in their fitness column.

Her sister, Kate, suffered many problems throughout her pregnancies as she dealt with hyperemesis gravidarum, but for Pippa, it’s been a smooth ride.

“I was lucky to pass the 12-week scan without suffering from morning sickness,” Pippa said. “That meant that I was able to carry on as normal and continue my sports.”

The Sun reported that the Duchess of Cambridge “could not have been more delighted” once she discovered the news that her sister was pregnant.
