Megan Gale finally reveals newborn daughter’s name
Considering you’re stuck with it your whole life, it makes sense that Megan Gale wanted to get her newborn daughter’s name just right. Now, two weeks after her birth, the 42-year-old model has finally revealed the name she and fiancé Shaun Hampson have picked – Rosie May Dee Hampson.
Megan took to Instagram to share the struggle the couple had finding the right name for their new bundle of joy, writing, “We were lucky we had so many great names for this little girl. We just wanted to be really sure that it was the one for her.”
“This was a name I had really liked initially when I was pregnant, Shaun wasn't a fan so I’d crossed it off the list and we focused only on one other name that we both liked. Then when she was born Shaun said she really suited Rosie but we still weren’t 100 per cent [sure] and also still keen on some of the other names too. Talk about indecisiveness!”
“Anyway, yesterday we stared long and hard at her while she was snoozing and it just all came together. No other name seemed to suit her more than Rosie. And the name has a beautiful significance too, much like River’s [the couple’s 3-year-old son]. Rosie is a nod to my Nana (Dad’s Mum, Rosella), May is my Mum’s name, Dee is Shaun’s Mum’s name and obviously Hampson, the family name from Tom, Shaun’s Dad.”
Only time will tell if little Rosie follows in the footsteps of her model mum, but with genes like that, we wouldn’t be surprised!
