Elephant saves her baby from drowning
A visitor at Grand Park Zoo in Seoul, Korea, has captured the incredible moment an adult elephant rushes into the water to save her baby’s life. The unbelievable footage was uploaded to YouTube last week by user Chorong Park and has already been viewed more than 825,000 times.
After her calf unexpectedly fell into the water, the gentle grey giant frantically runs towards the commotion, then enlists the help of another elephant to enter the water and herd the bub back to safety.
It just goes to show that even in the animal world, there’s nothing that can stop a mother from protecting her baby at all costs.
