Royal baby no. 3 name predictions: Bookies reveal their top picks

Royal baby fever is once again in the air, and that means only one thing – the bets are on. Bookies have revealed the top baby name picks for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child, and they’re convinced it’ll be a girl.

But while Alice has been the front runner for months, it’s now been overtaken by another very familiar royal name – Mary. Yep, it seems the Aussie-born Danish Crown Princess Mary may have some competition on her hands!

With odds of 7-1, Mary has become the new favourite, and it would make a beautiful tribute to the Queen’s grandmother and Her Majesty herself – Mary is one of her middle names.

At 8-1, Alice and Victoria are the next top picks, followed by Alexandra at 16-1. If it turns out to be a little prince, odds are on Albert or Arthur, which are tied at 12-1.

“Punters are convinced the Duke and Duchess are expecting another little girl, and obviously it would be a lovely touch to honour Her Majesty’s grandmother, but it will be interesting to see if any boys’ names are backed over the coming weeks before the birth,” Ladbrokes spokeswoman Jessica Bridge told the Evening Standard.

Tell us in the comments below, do you think Kate and William’s third baby will be a boy or a girl? What are your top picks for names?
