Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell share first sonogram of baby

A pregnant Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell have shared their first sonogram of their baby, saying they are “the size of a hummingbird now”.

On Sunday, the loved-up pair shared photos holding a koala and kangaroo joey, and said that the animals were excited to meet their “human joey”.

“We can’t wait to teach our little one about the importance of protecting our planet and the beauty of the wildlife and wild places we love so much,” Bindi said.

“Thank you for your kindness and support on this magical journey.”

The couple announced they were expecting in August, writing on Twitter: “Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021”.

“Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter,” Bindi wrote.

“Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes and prayers to our little sweetheart.

Bindi and Chandler tied the knot back on March 25 at Queensland Australia Zoo.

Just hours before weddings attended by more than five people were to be banned, the pair had already said “I do”.

In her vows, Irwin described her relationship with the 23-year-old - who proposed on her 21st birthday - as “genuine, unconditional love”.

“A love like this is meant to be felt, in every part of our soul,” she said.

She also referred to her late father Steve, who died in 2006 when she was eight years old.

“My dad used to say that I couldn’t marry anyone unless he could swim across the croc pond first,” she said.

“And now, here you are, helping us during our regular crocodile demonstrations.”
