Mothers have taken to parenting forum Mumsnet to share the most ridiculous names they’ve ever heard.
Prompted by a mum who heard a woman shouter to her daughter “Beige” in a supermarket, other users were quick to share some truly outrageous names.
Some of the worst examples shared include Venezuela, a misspelled Pocahontus, a boy called Raspberry and yet another boy called Dolphin (although the parents nicknamed him Fin).
One woman wrote she thought a fellow parent was using a nickname when she called her child Bubbles on school run, only to find out it was the child’s actual name.
Some other names shared include Rowdy, Vega, Bambi, Peaches, Modesty, Neveah, and Carnarby.
But perhaps the best was saved to last with one mum called her twin girls Dolce and Gabbana.
