Princess Mary's new fashion look inspired by Duchess Kate

Princess Mary has debuted an iconic look as she stepped out in a white lace dress while visiting a famous Japanese garden.

The regal dress she wore for the occasion is by Temperley London, one of Duchess Kate’s favourite designers.

Princess Mary was visiting the Kenrokuen Garden in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens.

Mary paired her dress with pastel blue heels and wore a delicate white flower in her bun, perfectly suiting her surroundings.

Mary and Crown Prince Frederik are visiting Japan to celebrate 150 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Frederik wore a suit paired with a burgundy tie and blue shirt for the occasion.

The royals started their day with a breakfast with Kanazawa City Deputy Mayor and then enjoyed their tour of Kenrokuen Garden.

Later, they visited an exhibition at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.

During the rest of their four-day stay, the royals will have a luncheon with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko, as well as meet Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The Danish royals’ visit to Japan follows Prince Naruhito’s visit to Denmark in June. The Japanese Crown Prince met with Queen Margrethe and the Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen. He also visited the Hans Christian Andersen’s museum and enjoyed a night at the theatre.
