Dame Judi Dench celebrates her 81^st birthday today, and boy has she still got it. The British actress has spent a lifetime in front of the camera, starring in hit romantic television series As Time Goes By and most recently, playing the sharp character of M in the James Bond series.

Acting accolades aside, Dench has been the poster girl for daring but always elegant style, often taking to the red carpet in exotic beaded gowns and colourful shawls.
