Leading doctor makes concerning claim about Michael Schumacher

Michael Schumacher is in a “vegetative state” and is not responding to family, according to a leading doctor.

Renowned neurosurgeon Erich Riederer made the concerning claim in a new documentary that aired on French TV.

“I think he’s in a vegetative state, which means he’s awake but not responding,” he told TMC.

“He is breathing, his heart is beating, he can probably sit up and take baby steps with help, but no more.

“I think that’s the maximum for him. Is there any chance of seeing him like he was before his accident? I really don’t think so.”

Schumacher’s health has been kept extremely under wraps after he suffered a near-fatal brain injury in 2013 while skiing off-piste in the French Alps.

Despite wearing a helmet, the F1 legend’s injuries were so severe that he was placed into a medically-induced coma.

Ever since his accident, fans and well wishers have only received tidbits about his ongoing recovery.
