Julia Louis-Dreyfus shares update on breast cancer battle

Last month, former Seinfeld actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 56-year-old actress just completed her second round of chemotherapy and gave her fans an update on her health this week.

She shared a photo of herself with a draw-on moustache on social media and wrote, “Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT f**king around here.”

Chemo #2: finito. We are NOT fucking around here. “I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and your’re going to hear me ROAR.” Thanks to @mrtonyhale & @timothycsimons & @katyperry for their hilarious and loving inspiration.

Quoting the lyrics of Katy Perry’s song Roar, she added, “‘I’ve got the eye of the tiger. The Fighter dancing through the fire cuz I am a champion and you’re going to hear me ROAR.’ Thanks to @mrtonyhale & @timothycsimons & @katyperry for their hilarious and loving inspiration.”

Julia’s current Veep co-stars, Tony Hale and Timothy Simmons, created a special video for Julia to cheer her up.

She captioned the video, “How lucky am I that these bozos have my back? What a moving inspiration to my day. I've watched it a gazillion times. Thanks to @mrtonyhale @timothycsimons& @katyperry.”

Julia has two sons, 25-year-old Henry and 20-year-old Charles, with her husband Brad Hall.

The inspirational actress announced her diagnosis in a social media post in September, where she called fans to help her in the fight to end “all cancers” and “make universal health care a reality".

"1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one,” she wrote.

"The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky. So let's fight all cancers and make universal healthcare a reality."
