The health benefit of eating less sugar in the morning

Although breakfast cereals have high sugar contents, clever marketing is misguiding consumers into believing they are fuelling their bodies with a reasonably healthy breakfast.

A sugar-laden breakfast is not how one should start the day because a diet with high sugar consumption can increase the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers.

Not only are there long-term consequences but the short-term consequences include effects on your energy levels, mood and ability to cope.

Too much sugar can also increase stress levels and symptoms of hormonal changes such as menopause.

Avoiding sugary cereals and choosing to invest in healthier breakfast options, such as eggs or porridge, will mean you will have better quality energy levels for the rest of the day.

Instead of sugar surges, by eating a breakfast with low-sugar intake you can benefit from better concentration levels and overall energy.
