Duchess Meghan shows off growing baby bump at royal engagement

Duchess Meghan showed off her very prominent baby bump while appearing at a care home in London.

Addressing the size of her bump, she joked that she was “very pregnant today” as she arrived at the Royal Variety Charity’s residential nursing and care home Brinsworth House for a Christmas event.

The 37-year-old’s burgeoning bump immediately sparked speculation that she was much further along in her pregnancy than first thought.

Kensington Palace revealed that Meghan was expecting her first child with Prince Harry in the UK springtime, with many assuming that the royal bub would arrive in April.

While speaking to retired actress Josephine Gordon, Meghan – who is nearing her third trimester – said she was feeling “very good” and “very pregnant today”.

The expecting mum asked the resident if she had any children of her own, to which Josephine responded: “No, I had a career.”

Meghan, who first rose to fame after appearing in legal drama Suits, replied: “Yes, that I understand.”

During her visit, Meghan cradled her baby bump as she took part in festive activities, including craft-making and listening to Christmas carols.

For the engagement, Meghan wore a white Brock Collection dress with grey florals paired with a grey coat by Soia & Kyo.

The outing marked Meghan’s last public engagement before the Christmas break.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will join the royal family at Sandringham to celebrate with the Queen.
