Woman defies odds with two huge lottery wins in one day
A lucky punter has done the unimaginable and won two substantial lottery prizes in the same day.
Kimberly Morris from the US, bought two North Carolina lottery tickets.
Kimberly couldn’t believe her luck when she purchased a ticket during a grocery ticket and scratched off the $10,000 prize.
The mother-of-three went to the lottery headquarters in Raleigh to claim her prize when she felt like her lucky streak wasn't over yet.
Kimberly made a quick stop to purchase another ticket and this time she won an astounding $1 million.
"It felt really great to win, but I really have always dreamed I would win $1 million!" she told North Carolina Education Lottery.
Kimberly chose to take the lump sum of the $1 million prize, which left her with $417,012 after taxes.
Kimberly plans to give some of her money to her three children and invest the rest.
